Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and experience with various accounting software. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization while supporting day-to-day administrative tasks.Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain accurate financial records through bookkeeping and accounting practices.</li><li>Prepare and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.</li><li>Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.</li><li>Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.</li><li>Manage journal entries, debits, credits, and general ledger accounting.</li><li>Conduct account analysis and maintain accurate records of transactions.</li><li>Support budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data.</li><li>Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or other relevant tools for efficient record keeping.</li><li>Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all financial reporting.</li><li>Provide administrative support as needed, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.</li><li>Assist with HR related matters like creating employee files and onboarding.</li></ul>Skills<ul><li>Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero).</li><li>Strong understanding of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and public accounting principles.</li><li>Knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping and account reconciliation.</li><li>Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation.</li><li>Ability to prepare financial report writing with attention to detail.</li><li>Familiarity with tax experience related to bookkeeping practices is a plus.</li><li>Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.</li><li>Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
