Responsibilities &ndash; Technical Leadership, Architecture &amp; Delivery</h2><ul><li>
Lead the technical design, development and delivery of software and cloud solutions across multiple projects, ensuring high quality, reliability and scalability.</li><li>
Collaborate with product owners, project managers and stakeholders to translate business requirements into pragmatic technical solutions and roadmaps.</li><li>
Define and own solution architecture, technical standards, and best practices including code quality, testing, security and operational readiness.</li><li>
Mentor and coach engineers across the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and professional development.</li><li>
Drive technical decision-making, trade-off analysis and risk mitigation, balancing delivery timelines with long-term maintainability.</li><li>
Support project planning and estimation, provide technical guidance during sprint planning and ensure engineering tasks align with delivery objectives.</li><li>
Champion DevOps practices and automation for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, monitoring and incident response to improve deployment velocity and reliability.</li><li>
Engage in hands-on development when required, reviewing code, designing key components and contributing to complex technical workstreams.</li><li>
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, introducing improvements to technology stacks and delivery practices.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Essential Skills &ndash; System Design, Cloud &amp; Team Leadership</h3><ul><li>
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.</li><li>
Proven experience in a senior engineering role with responsibility for technical leadership, architecture or team mentoring.</li><li>
Strong software engineering skills in one or more languages (for example Python, Java, C# or JavaScript/TypeScript) and familiarity with modern frameworks and patterns.</li><li>
Practical experience designing and operating cloud-native solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).</li><li>
Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, data integration, and distributed systems principles.</li><li>
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation) and containerisation.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>
Strong problem-solving capability, attention to detail and ability to prioritise competing demands.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Desirable Experience &ndash; Cloud Architecture, Security &amp; Project Delivery</h4><ul><li>
Experience with cloud architecture patterns, cost optimisation and performance tuning in production environments.</li><li>
Familiarity with security best practices, compliance requirements and secure design principles.</li><li>
Prior exposure to enterprise integration, data platforms or analytics architectures is advantageous.</li><li>
Leadership experience in Agile delivery environments and a track record of delivering complex, client-facing projects.</li><li>
Relevant certifications (e.g., cloud provider architect certs, Kubernetes, or security accreditations) are beneficial.</li></ul><h5 class="jobSectionHeader">
