Join our team and become our new full-time MARKETING AND PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGER, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications, marketing, and public engagement strategy that advances the Village’s Strategic Plan and strengthens the Village of Niles brand.Some info about the position…Serves as the Village’s Public Information Officer and primary point of contact for media inquiries.Develops and maintains a Village-wide communications strategy that ensures consistent messaging, transparency, and public awareness of Village initiatives.Manages the Village’s “Love Niles” marketing campaign to promote the Village, attract residents and visitors, and support economic development.Manages Village social media and digital platforms and collaborates with departments for content.Prepares and distributes press releases, media advisories, and official statements.Provides direct supervision of the Communications & Multimedia Coordinator.Assists departments with marketing materials and campaigns to promote services, events, and programs.Maintains and enforces Village branding standards across all departments and communication platforms.Monitors analytics and engagement metrics and provides regular performance reports.Develops content strategies to promote Village services, programs, and events.Works closely with the Economic Development Coordinator for consistent messaging with business retention, recruitment, and promotion.Manages contracts and relationships with external marketing, public relations, photography, and media vendors.Develops and manages the marketing and communications budget and reports regularly on implementation and outcomes.Qualified candidates should…Have a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, Public Policy, or a related field.Have at least two (2) years of experience in marketing, public relations, and/or communications.Be proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva Pro, social media platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, and Illustrator.Have prior experience directly supervising other employees.Be able to occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.Have a valid driver’s license.Pay, benefits, and more…Hiring range for this position is $89,856 – $125,799 (starting salary is typically no higher than the midpoint and is dependent upon qualifications)Typical hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with evening and weekend hours as neededPaid leaveHealth insuranceIllinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) and 457b retirement plansNiles Family Fitness Center membership and wellness programTuition reimbursement and professional development opportunitiesIt’s possible here.
