Job Summary:The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage all accounting operations of the construction firm, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with tax regulations, and efficient handling of project-related finances. The role demands expertise in construction accounting, budget management, and statutory compliance specific to Indian laws.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Accounting Operations:</li><li>Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.</li><li>Supervise accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and expense reporting.</li><li>Ensure timely invoicing, payments, and ledger updates for all projects.</li><li>Financial Reporting:</li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.</li><li>Conduct variance analysis and project profitability reviews.</li><li>Generate reports for management on cash flow, revenue, and expenses.</li><li>Project Accounting:</li><li>Monitor and allocate project costs to ensure alignment with budgets.</li><li>Track inventory, raw materials, and equipment expenses.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers to forecast costs and manage budgets.</li><li>Taxation and Compliance:</li><li>Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.</li><li>Liaise with auditors for statutory and internal audits.</li><li>File accurate and timely tax returns as per Indian financial regulations.</li><li>Process Improvement:</li><li>Develop and implement accounting procedures and controls.</li><li>Train junior accountants and oversee their work.</li><li>Identify inefficiencies in workflows and recommend solutions.</li><li>Stakeholder Collaboration:</li><li>Coordinate with the HR department for payroll processing.</li><li>Work closely with procurement and billing teams for accurate cost tracking.</li><li>Support external consultants and vendors with financial data.</li></ul>Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. CA/ICWA preferred.</li><li>Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting, with at least 2 years in the construction industry.</li><li>Technical Skills:</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/ SAP or similar).</li><li>Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial modeling.</li><li>Familiarity with Indian construction-related regulations.</li><li>Soft Skills:</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: &#8377;20,000.00 - &#8377;30,000.00 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Provident Fund</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Accounting: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Tally (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
