<div><b>Job Overview:</b> <b>We are seeking a full-time Front Office Associate (FOA) for our Rockville office, with the ability to travel to satellite locations as needed. </b>The FOA is a professional with an exceptional service attitude who is the first point of contact for all patients entering the office. The PCA performs various support tasks to assist in each patient's care. The FOA assists patients with completing their registration and guiding them to their designated waiting areas. In addition, the FOA is responsible for educating the patient about their medical insurance benefits versus their vision plan benefits. Lastly, the FOA will focus on whether the patient is satisfied and has received an exceptional experience at Visionary Eye Doctors.<div></div><div><b><br>
Responsibilities</b></div><p>
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:</p><ul><li><b>
Greeting:</b> Professionally greet guests upon arrival, directing them to the appropriate waiting area.</li><li><b>
Appointment scheduling:</b> Managing doctors' schedules and scheduling patients based on doctors' orders.</li><li><b>
Provide information</b>: Offer information about services and patient account items.</li><li><b>
Resolve issues:</b> Address patient complaints and problems and escalate unresolved issues. De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied patients, offering patient assistance and support.</li><li><b>
Maintain records:</b> Review patient accounts, update patient demographics, and maintain patient records confidentiality.</li><li><b>
Collaborate with others:</b> Work with other departments to identify and improve customer service.</li><li><b>
Communication:</b> Relay appropriate information to/from patients to doctors or management.</li><li><b>
Reception area upkeep:</b> Ensuring the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable.</li><li><b>
Customer service:</b> Address patient inquiries and provide information about the company.</li></ul><div></div><p><b><br>
Qualifications and Skills</b></p><ul><li>
One to two years of experience in a medical office or ophthalmology setting preferred</li><li>
Medical insurance and vision insurance verification experience preferred</li><li>

Full-time Front Office Associate for Rockville Office

<div></div><div><div><b>Job Overview: We are seeking a </b><b>full-time, bilingual </b>(Spanish speaking) <b>Ophthalmology Scribe with 2 to 3 years of experience (required) for a busy practice in the metropolitan area. </b>This individual is responsible for providing accurate documentation and summarization of the ocular examination and recommendations while maintaining patient flow and communication regarding appointment status. The primary goal of the ophthalmic scribe is to increase the physician's efficiency and productivity in the clinic setting. The scribe must be able to anticipate physician needs, communicate clearly to patients and staff members, and effectively multitask to facilitate clinical flow.</div><div><b><i>
This is an in-person position. Training will take place in the Rockville office.</i></b></div><div><b><br>
Principal Duties and Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li><b>
Record interactions: </b>Accompany the provider during patient visits and record information into the electronic health record (EHR).</li><li>
Accurately and thoroughly document ophthalmic exams and procedures as they are being performed by the physician.</li><li>
List all appropriate diagnoses and symptoms, as well as follow-up instructions and prescriptions as directed by the physician.</li><li><b>
Update patient information</b>: Keep patient histories current and ensure that charts are accurate.</li><li><b>
Assist with administrative: </b>Handle phone calls, handle medication queries, retrieve lab reports, and fill out paperwork.</li><li><b>
Provide patient support: </b>As directed by the physician, instruct patients and/or family members on self-care and follow-up.</li><li>
Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities determined by the office manager, team lead, and doctor(s).</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Qualifications &amp; Skills</b></div><ul><li>
Two to three years of experience as an Ophthalmic or Medical Scribe is required (certified preferred)</li><li>
Excellent computer knowledge and typing abilities</li><li>
Strong written and oral communication skills</li><li>
Ability to multitask and consistently communicate professionally</li><li>
