The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as both an advisor and consultant to business leaders, aligning objectives with the needs of Team Members across office, retail and/or warehouse locations. This role combines high-level strategic guidance with hands-on HR execution, driving talent strategy, organizational design, and a people-first, high-performance culture aligned with the brand’s prestige and global footprint.
 
Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>Partners with department leaders to align HR strategies with business goals.</li>
<li>Provides coaching and support to managers on a range of people-related matters, including performance issues including performance management, policy interpretation and violations, leadership development, career pathing, and the management of team dynamics.</li>
<li>Advises leaders on complex employee relations cases with discretion and business sensitivity, ensuring alignment with state, federal and international labor laws. Champions a high-touch, luxury-service Team Member experience which reflects the brand’s identity.</li>
<li>Partners with Talent Acquisition and Learning teams to attract and grow top-tier talent across the organization.</li>
<li>Ensures consistent application of policies and employment practices across states and regions, with an understanding of cultural and legal nuances.</li>
<li>Supports organizational growth by leading HR initiatives.</li>
<li>Guides change management processes, including communication planning and transition support for leadership and teams.</li>
<li>Analyzes HR metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement in employee engagement, retention, and performance.</li>
<li>Works effectively with others in a team environment to accomplish organizational goals and to identify and resolve problems.</li>
<li>Exhibits and adheres to the established Visual Comfort Company Values.</li>
<li>Additional projects, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.</li>
<li>5 years’ human resources experience managing employee relations.</li>
<li>3+ years of experience working in multi-location and multi-state environments including California.</li>
<li>International Human Resources experience a plus.</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of California labor laws and exposure to global HR regulations (Europe and Asia a plus)</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience supporting client groups in both corporate and retail functions.</li>
<li>Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS, Ceridian - Dayforce preferred.</li>
<li>Strong financial acumen, metrics-driven and analytical</li>
<li>Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus.</li>
<li>Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.</li>
<li>Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.</li>
<li>Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone.</li>
<li>Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.</li>
<li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role.</li>

Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000
