Estates & Valuation Team Leader Day Rate: £500-£600 Contract: End of March 2026 with high likelihood of extension Location: Lincolnshire (1 day per week required in the office) An opportunity has arisen for an experienced property professional to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering estates and valuation services within the public sector. This senior-level interim role plays a key part in managing and shaping a diverse property portfolio to support service delivery, long-term financial resilience, and wider community objectives. Key Responsibilities: <ul> <li>Lead a team of Chartered Surveyors and property information specialists, ensuring effective operational delivery across estates management, valuations, and property records.</li> <li>Oversee high-value and complex property transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, lease events, and asset valuations.</li> <li>Provide strategic property advice, covering areas such as estate optimisation, planning, rating, and compensation.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with relevant statutory frameworks and professional standards, including RICS, CIPFA, and IFRS.</li> <li>Represent the organisation in external negotiations and partnerships, supporting the achievement of key objectives.</li> <li>Promote a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and innovation within the team.</li> </ul> About You: You'll be a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with: <ul> <li>Significant post-qualification experience in estates and valuation, ideally with exposure to public sector portfolios.</li> <li>Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.</li> <li>Strong commercial insight and the ability to manage projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a range of stakeholders.</li> <li>A proactive approach to maintaining professional standards and driving service improvement.</li> </ul>

Estates & Valuation Team Leader

Job Description Our local authority client is currently seeking a part-time Registered Valuer to join their team under contract. This role demands proficiency in estate management and will involve providing property and contractual advice, negotiating land and property transactions, and managing projects to meet corporate and service strategies. Key Responsibilities Analyse and provide property and contractual advice to implement corporate and service strategies. Assist service departments in implementing operational strategies at all levels. Propose property solutions within programme and budget, according to corporate policy and project requirements. Negotiate land and property transactions, monitoring outcomes and instigating control. Direct and motivate project teams, ensuring adequate resourcing and budgetary provisions. Monitor and report project progress, ensuring successful delivery. Identify and exploit opportunities to maximise effective use of land and property assets. Provide specialist professional knowledge and support to all Estates staff. Represent the County Council, presenting its policies, property projects, and strategies at various levels. Determine the amount to be paid by the County Council for acquiring, selling, or leasing land and property. Recognise and act upon emerging opportunities for better property portfolio performance. Manage budgets, select appropriate contractors, and maintain property under management. Job Requirements Ability to analyse property and contractual issues and provide actionable recommendations. Proficiency in negotiating land and property transactions. Project management skills, including team direction and resource allocation. Strong communication skills and the ability to represent policies and strategies effectively. Knowledge of budget management and contractor selection. Understanding of medium-term reorganisation proposals for property assets.
