 For an engineering customer, we are searching for several APC (Advanced Process Control) and RTO (Real-time Optimization) profiles for a project in Bahrain to provide field support and remote support. Candidates should be specialised in APC (RTO knowledge is a considerable advantage).
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Candidates should also have experience on Honeywell and/or AspenDMC3 platforms.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 PROFILE 1: APC &amp; RTO Consultant (Senior Consultant)
 
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 &ge; 15 years of relevant experience in APC and/or RTO implementation
 </li>
 <li>
 Minimum 1&ndash;2 full APC/RTO implementations as Lead Consultant
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Role and responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Technical authority for APC and RTO strategy, scope definition, and architecture
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversight of control strategy design, constraint handling, and optimization objectives
 </li>
 <li>
 Definition of KPI baselines, benefit verification methodology, and post-audit approach
 </li>
 <li>
 Technical interface with Client&rsquo;s senior engineering and operations stakeholders
 </li>
 <li>
 Support complex troubleshooting during step testing and commissioning
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure compliance with contractual milestones (M1&ndash;M7) and acceptance evidence
 </li>

 Proven experience in refinery operations (crude, conversion, hydrotreating, hydrogen, utilities)

 PROFILE 2: APC &amp; RTO Lead / Senior Engineer

 Minimum 1&ndash;2 APC/RTO implementations as a senior technical contributor

 Lead day-to-day execution of APC and RTO projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Development and validation of dynamic and steady-state models
 </li>

 Coordination of step testing activities and data readiness

 Configuration and commissioning of APC/RTO applications
 </li>
 <li>
 Preparation of FAT, SAT, and as-built documentation

 Mentoring junior engineers and supporting operator training

 </li>

 Data extraction, validation, and preparation for modelling
 </li>
 <li>
 Development of APC/RTO models under supervision
 </li>
 <li>
 Participation in step testing and commissioning windows
 </li>

 Controller tuning, constraint configuration, and performance monitoring
 </li>
 <li>
 Preparation of engineering reports, plots, and acceptance evidence
 </li>
 </ul>

 Solid foundation in process control and chemical/process engineering

 Practical experience working in operating refinery environments
 </li>

 </li>

 This experience must be supported by project reference details and acceptance evidence (FAT/SAT where available).
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Mandatory RTO experience
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Must demonstrate RTO implementation within the last 10 years on a refinery or petrochemical site using one or more of the following platforms:
