Summary: 
In this role, you will design, build, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions that drive business impact. You will lead the full AI lifecycle from experimentation through production, developing both traditional ML models and LLM-powered systems such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic workflows. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate complex problems into technical solutions, and ensure systems are reliable, performant, and aligned with client needs.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models and LLM-based applications.</li><li>
Translate business challenges into scalable AI solutions and define success metrics aligned with business KPIs.</li><li>
Design and implement RAG pipelines, embedding strategies, and vector search architectures.</li><li>
Build agentic workflows, prompt strategies, and orchestration patterns for LLM systems.</li><li>
Own AI/ML solutions end to end, from scoping and design through implementation, deployment, and operationalization, with a high degree of autonomy.</li><li>
Evaluate model and LLM performance using automated and human-in-the-loop methods while implementing guardrails and monitoring.</li><li>
Optimize AI systems for latency, cost, scalability, and reliability.</li><li>
Architect and maintain scalable deployment strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps workflows.</li><li>
Implement monitoring, drift detection, retraining pipelines, and model lifecycle management practices.</li><li>
Design and maintain production-grade data pipelines ensuring validation, lineage, and reproducibility.</li><li>
Mentor team members, influence AI architecture decisions, and promote responsible AI governance.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Relevant degree preferred. Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is a plus.</li><li>
5 or more years of relevant experience required.</li><li>
Experience in ML engineering, applied AI, or related fields preferred.</li><li>
Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments required.</li><li>
Experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications such as RAG systems, Agentic workflows required.</li><li>
Strong Python expertise and production-grade software engineering practices required.</li><li>
Experience with model serving frameworks and API development (e.g., FastAPI, MLflow, etc.) required.</li><li>
Experience with vector databases and embedding workflows required.</li><li>
Familiarity with orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar tools required.</li><li>
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-based deployment environments required.</li><li>
Strong understanding of evaluation methodologies for both predictive ML and LLM systems required.</li><li>
Experience building AI/ML systems in startup, high-growth, or large-scale enterprise environments, with a track record of applying learned best practices to improve team standards and delivery maturity, preferred.</li><li>
Experience designing AI platforms or reusable AI templates preferred.</li><li>
Familiarity with model monitoring frameworks and evaluation tooling for LLM systems preferred.</li><li>
Experience working in regulated or high-compliance environments preferred.</li><li>
Experience optimizing cost and performance for large-scale inference workloads preferred.</li><li>
Experience fine-tuning or adapting foundation models preferred.</li></ul>
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $102,400.00 to $179,000.00.

Summary:
In this role, you will lead the development and execution of a data-driven pharmacy analytics strategy to advance supply chain performance, financial optimization, and client value. You will translate complex data into actionable insights, identify trends and risks, and inform contracting, sourcing, and operational strategies. You will collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams, serve as a subject matter expert, and mentor emerging talent to strengthen analytic capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Lead the development and execution of pharmacy analytics initiatives that advance supply chain performance and financial outcomes.</li><li>
Translate complex data into actionable insights that inform business decisions.</li><li>
Identify market trends, risks, and opportunities to guide contracting and sourcing strategies.</li><li>
Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to align analytic solutions with business priorities.</li><li>
Develop and implement analytic tools, reports, and dashboards to support business and client needs.</li><li>
Establish and maintain data governance, validation, and quality assurance processes.</li><li>
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into program development and decision-making.</li><li>
Implement process and analytic improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and cost savings.</li><li>
Serve as a subject matter expert on pharmacy analytics and provide consultative guidance to clients and internal teams.</li><li>
Mentor interns, residents, and fellows to build analytic capabilities and innovation.</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Pharmacy degree required (e.g., PharmD or BS Pharmacy).</li><li>
5 or more years of relevant experience required.</li><li>
Licensed Pharmacist required.</li><li>
Pharmacy PGY2 residency or fellowship in informatics, administration, or supply chain preferred.</li><li>
Extensive knowledge of healthcare analytics, informatics, and pharmaceutical supply chain.</li><li>
Advanced proficiency with SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau).</li><li>
Strong project management and strategic planning capabilities.</li><li>
Experience influencing stakeholders and communicating with executive audiences.</li><li>
Willingness to travel.</li></ul></div></div>

Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
