Pay Range: Up to $18.05 per hour 
 
Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift (7:00 a.m. &ndash; 3:00 p.m.), including every other weekend.

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose of the TMA is to administer prescribed medications and limited topical treatments to residents under direct supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse per state/federal regulations. 

What You Bring (Requirements)
<ul>
<li>A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.</li>
<li>1 year experience as a Med-Tech (preferred).</li>
<li>Registered or certified as a nursing assistant.</li>
<li>Completion of a state approved training program in medication administration with certificate received.</li>
<li>Effective communicator with staff, families and outside agencies.</li>
<li>Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and as delegated by the licensed nurse or registered nurse in compliance with all state/federal requirements.</li></ul> 


What your responsibilities will be
<ul>
<li>Administration of medications and treatments as delegated by a licensed nurse.</li>
<li>Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding measuring of vital signs, weights and administration of medications and treatments.</li>
<li>Follows facility medication protocols.</li>
<li>Obtain report, getting full information on residents&rsquo; conditions and new orders.</li>
<li>Confer with team members concerning assignments, routines, and rehabilitation of residents. Discuss with charge nurse any necessary changes.</li></ul>
