This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented and decisive professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and excels at coordinating drivers, managing schedules, and keeping daily operations on track.As a Dispatcher, you will play a key role in daily operations &ndash; making real‑time adjustments, resolving variances, and ensuring our customers receive excellent service. If you are organized, proactive, and ready to make an impact, we would love to hear from you!Responsibilities:<ul><li>Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers and contractors for local and long-distance moves to ensure efficient operations.</li><li>Adjust routes and schedules to account for traffic, weather, delays, customer requests and site requirements.</li><li>Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing job details, updates, and support.</li><li>Review job assignments with drivers and contractors, including special instructions and important details.</li><li>Monitor job progress using dispatch software and GPS systems to ensure timely service.</li><li>Respond to incoming inquiries regarding scheduling and job status.</li><li>Resolve scheduling conflicts and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of schedules, crew assignments, and job documentation.</li><li>Prepare drivers&rsquo; paperwork and coordinate out-of-state labor as needed.</li><li>Support the Warehouse Manager in planning and coordinating warehouse activities.</li><li>Assist Sales and Customer Service teams with service questions, access checks, and operational support.</li><li>Support accounting by reviewing drivers&rsquo; paperwork to ensure all required documents are complete and included and address any related questions.</li><li>Collaborate with the Claims Director to mitigate and resolve claim issues.</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with van line partners and affiliates.</li><li>Assist with maintaining and updating operational policies, procedures, and guidelines.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, DOT and FMCSA guidelines.</li><li>Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.</li><li>Represent the company in a professional manner.</li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.</li></ul>Job Requirements:<ul><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability</li><li>Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment</li><li>Proficiency with dispatching software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications</li><li>Knowledge of local geography and routes is preferred</li><li>Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening</li></ul>Education/Experience:<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required</li><li>At least 2 - 3 years of dispatching experience in the moving and storage industry.</li></ul>New hires are subject to a 90-day probationary period.Compensation will be commensurate with experience.Required Behavioral Survey:All applicants must complete the behavioral assessment survey as part of the application process.Please complete the survey here: https://www.inclineworkplace.com/opensurveyentry?name=B.%20Von%20Paris%20and%20Sons%2C%20Inc&amp;id=108&amp;fid=526Applications will not be reviewed until the survey is submitted.Pay: From $55,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>moving industry: 2 years (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>Savage, MD 20763 (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
