Vortex Services is seeking to fill a position for a Pipelayer/Laborer. 


Duties include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Grading and leveling trench bases to place pipe in</li>
<li>Laying, aligning, and positioning sections of pipe</li>
<li>Making connections to lines including sewer lines, water lines, and storm sewers</li>
<li>Checking slopes for confirmation to requirements</li>
<li>Digging and setting pipe by hand</li></ul> 


Skills required:
<ul>
<li>Determine grade of trenching using tools including lasers and transit levels</li>
<li>Operate cutting equipment to cut various types of piping materials</li>
<li>Operate small powered equipment including tampers</li>
<li>Cut, fit, and seal various types of piping</li></ul> 


Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Experience as a Pipe Layer</li>
<li>Valid driver license required</li>
<li>Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift and move 50 lbs.</li>
<li>Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background screening consistent with company standards</li></ul> 


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but can include shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
