As a Part 145 EASA/FAA and TCCA Approved Workshop facility, Rotable Repairs provides quality repair and overhaul services for most classic and current generation jet & turbo prop aircrafts trusted by airlines and aerospace organisations all over the world. JOB SUMMARY: The Managing Director/Accountable Manager holds overall responsibility for the leadership, strategic direction, and regulatory compliance of VSE Aviation's Rotable Repairs subsidiary. The role ensures safe, efficient, and profitable operations, aligned with CAA/EASA/FAA Part 145 requirements and the strategic objectives of VSE Aviation. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: <ul> <li>Provide overall business leadership, setting strategic direction and ensuring delivery of operational and financial objectives.</li> <li>Represent the organisation with customers, OEMs, regulators, and corporate stakeholders.</li> <li>Lead a safety-first, regulatory compliant, and performance-driven culture.</li> </ul> Regulatory & Compliance Oversight <ul> <li>Act as Accountable Manager ensuring all aviation maintenance is carried out in compliance with Part-145 approvals.</li> <li>Establish and promote the company's safety policy and ensure a strong Safety Management System (SMS).</li> <li>Nominate and oversee senior managers, including Compliance Monitoring and Maintenance Management roles.</li> <li>Liaise with the Compliance Monitoring Manager to ensure system integrity and corrective actions are followed through.</li> <li>Ensure competence of all personnel via structured training, continuation training, and assessment programmes.</li> <li>Ensure necessary finance, manpower, and facilities are available to meet customer and regulatory commitments.</li> <li>Maintain direct liaison with regulators (CAA, EASA, FAA, TCCA), ensuring audit readiness and compliance.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with fees, charges, and obligations to Competent Authorities.</li> <li>Oversee daily operations, driving efficiency, output, and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Deliver financial targets including revenue growth, margin improvement, and EBITDA.</li> <li>Implement structured performance monitoring, risk management, and reporting frameworks.</li> </ul> Corporate Integration & Governance <ul> <li>Ensure integration into VSE Aviation's global systems, policies, and compliance frameworks (HR, Finance, IT, SOX).</li> <li>Maintain accurate corporate reporting and alignment with group strategy.</li> <li>Ensure proper handling of any organisational media relations.</li> </ul> People & Culture <ul> <li>Lead, motivate, and develop the management team and wider workforce.</li> <li>Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and accountability.</li> <li>Ensure supervision of corrective actions and effective follow-up on compliance findings.</li> <li>Implement structured training and development programmes to maintain workforce competence.</li> <li>Maintain and strengthen relationships with airlines, OEMs and key MRO customers.</li> <li>Support commercial strategy, contract negotiation, and business development.</li> <li>Position Rotable Repairs as a trusted, compliant, and competitive MRO partner.</li> </ul> MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: <ul> <li>Vocational Qualifications Level 6, Bachelor's Degree with Honours, Bachelor's Degrees, PGCE, Graduate Diplomas, Graduate Certificates.</li> <li>Senior leadership experience within an aviation MRO environment.</li> <li>Direct accountability under CAA/EASA/FAA Part 145 approvals.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of aviation safety, regulatory compliance, and airworthiness requirements.</li> <li>Track record in contract negotiation, business development, and customer relationship management.</li> <li>Financial acumen with experience in EBITDA, margin management, and cost control.</li> <li>Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.</li> </ul> PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: <ul> <li>Experience with multi-site or international MRO operations.</li> <li>Demonstrated success in corporate integration and governance.</li> <li>Strong background in regulatory audit preparation and compliance monitoring.</li> </ul> At VSE, we don't just hire employees; we nurture careers and champion well being.
