Procurement and Shop Coordinator 
 
W.W. Gay Mechanical Contractor Inc, has an opening for a material and order coordinator in our steel fabrication shop. Previous experience working in a steel fabrication shop or similar production shop environment is desired. 
 
Specific Job Requirements:
 
<ul><li>Place orders with structural steel and material suppliers per bill of material lists</li>
<li>Receive and unload daily steel and material deliveries.</li>
<li>Inventory and store daily deliveries and distribute to appropriate shop personnel</li>
<li>Assemble and palletize fabricated items, material and hardware.</li>
<li>Create and maintain receiving and shipping logs of all materials received and shipped to and from the shop</li>
<li>Schedule and arrange delivery for completed fabricated items and material</li>
<li>Load outgoing deliveries onto shipping trucks</li>
<li>Assist with shop clean-up and general shop duties as needed</li>
<li>Assist shop manager with other duties as needed</li>
</ul> 
General Requirements: 
<ul>
<li>High School Diploma Required</li>
<li>Able to create basic Microsoft Excel spread sheets and Microsoft Word Documents</li>
<li>Able to pass a drug test</li>
<li>A valid driver&rsquo;s license with no prior offenses prohibiting operating company vehicles/equipment.</li>
<li>Able to work from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with occasional after hours and weekends as needed.</li>
<li>Clean and maintain an orderly work area</li>
<li>Maintain consistent and effective production output levels.</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers, suppliers and customers</li>
<li>Ability to lift 50 pounds</li>
<li>Ability to operate a forklift</li></ul>
