Position Description:
Assemblers perform various tasks here a Wabash that vary from location to location. We have Assemblers that are responsible for anything from installing and assembling subassemblies and component parts to operating rivet punchers to installing decals and much more in between.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: As mentioned above Assemblers can be responsible for a multitude of things, below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:
<ul><li>Own and help improve are Safety, Quality, and Delivery, performance
</li><li>Keeping their work area free of any potential work hazards
</li><li>Caulking materials
</li><li>Measuring and cutting material
</li><li>Installing rivets
</li><li>Operating heavy machinery
</li><li>Installing truck bed flooring
</li><li>Following decal templates/ blueprints
</li><li>Install signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated parts
</li><li>Performs additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Team leader. This may require the employee to flex into another department</li>
<li>Wear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.</li>
<li>Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. This includes regard to individual safety, the safety of co-workers and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.</li>

Experience and education are great to come into this position with. However, it's not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Assembler position. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you'll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.

Physical Demands:

As an Assembler, you are regularly required to stand, walk, lean, push, climb, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, handle and operate tools or controls for the length of their entire shift. The employee needs full range of motion in their arms and hands in this position. All Assemblers must be able to successfully communicate with fellow employees as well. Some Assemblers also work in small spaces throughout their shift and frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, along with good hand-eye coordination.

Quality Inspector

<div>At Wabash, Welders perform a variety of tasks vary from location to location. Welders have a key role in the manufacture of carbon/ stainless steel and aluminum products and subassemblies. Welders are a crucial position in the manufacturing process and are therefore expected to produce high-quality work while upholding production standards. We require Qualification Weld Tests and, in some cases, Certification Tests depending on the product line. Applicants that do not pass the initial Weld Test can be qualified by attending our own in-house Weld School, demonstrating that they can pass the Weld Test after training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Carbon Steel /Aluminum / Stainless Steel MIG and/or TIG weld at a level that meets quality standards</li>
<li>Read engineering prints, weld symbols, and follow specifications</li>
<li>Basic operator preventative maintenance for welding related equipment</li>
<li>Maneuvering in tight and small spaces</li>
<li>Work at heights of 15-20 ft.
</li><li>Performing additional work assigned by the supervisor or team leader, which may require the employee to assist in different departments</li>
<li>Wearing approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.</li>
