 Design the backbone of our solutions by creating software requirements, architecture, and component-level designs for multiple modules.

 Build with security in mind&mdash;develop and validate software aligned with modern cybersecurity standards.
 </li>

 Turn ideas into reality by translating requirements from internal and external stakeholders into project configurations and new software specifications.

 Drive quality and clarity by defining work package requirements and reviewing development outcomes.

 Proven expertise with at least 5 years of experience working on large-scale software projects.

 Architectural mindset with hands-on experience in software and framework architecture.

 Versatile problem-solver with a generalist approach and strong analytical skills.

 Modern C++ mastery (C++17 and beyond) for building high-performance, reliable solutions.

 Scripting proficiency in languages such as Bash or Python to automate and optimize workflows.

 Solid networking knowledge including concepts and protocols for distributed systems.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong Linux skills for embedded and system-level development.

 Familiarity with CI/CD principles to support continuous integration and delivery.

 Experience with CMake as a build system for complex projects.

 POSITION OVERVIEW
 
 
 
 The Wabtec location in Jackson, TN is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Manufacturing Engineering Technician. The ideal candidate will approach day to day work with a world class attitude while interacting with other team members from other departments. This candidate will possess specialized expertise in technical processes or procedures to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. They will, at times complete work assignments while facilitating the work activities of others. Work completed will take place in all process areas of the facility. The individual will work autonomously within established policies and procedures; proposing improvements to processes as needed. This position is being posted for 2nd or 3rd shift.
 
 
 
 Required Experience

 8+ years in a high-performance manufacturing environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Tool and Die (Diploma from Technology College for Tool &amp; Die/Machinist a plus)
 </li>
 <li>
 Set up and adjustment of presses used for manufacturing fins for heat exchangers

 Reviews project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problems and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts, or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies.

 Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.
 </li>
 <li>
 Records test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.
 </li>
 <li>
 Process and initiate engineering change requests to drive improvements in quality, cost, lead time, and capacity

 Work directly with operators, supervisors, and engineering in running, maintaining, troubleshooting of automated stamping, machining, and assembly equipment

 The pay range for this role is $32.00-$36.00.
