We are seeking committed and reliable RN/LPN Charge Nurses to join our clinical team.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Position Overview:</h3> 
The Charge Nurse is responsible for overseeing resident care on the assigned unit and providing direct nursing services in accordance with each resident&rsquo;s care plan. Working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse Supervisor, the Charge Nurse ensures the delivery of safe, holistic, and high-quality care to our residents while supervising CNAs and support staff.<h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Key Responsibilities:</h3><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Clinical Care</h3><ul><li>
Record and update residents&rsquo; medical histories, assessments, and care plans.</li><li>
Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to facility protocol.</li><li>
Monitor residents for changes in condition, response to treatment, and medication side effects.</li><li>
Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, injections, enemas, dressing changes, and IV care where applicable.</li><li>
Track and document vital signs, fluid intake/output, and overall clinical status.</li><li>
Collect specimens for laboratory testing and ensure proper documentation.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Leadership &amp; Oversight</h3><ul><li>
Provide direction and oversight to CNAs and support staff on the unit.</li><li>
Ensure all assigned staff follow established policies, safety guidelines, and infection control standards.</li><li>
Participate in shift reports and assist with care coordination among interdisciplinary teams.</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"> 
Communication &amp; Support</h3><ul><li>
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare providers regarding care progress and concerns.</li><li>
Offer emotional support, comfort, and education to residents and their families.</li><li>
Maintain professional, respectful relationships with team members and residents.</li></ul> 
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.</li><li>
Licensure: Current and valid Connecticut RN or LPN license in good standing.</li></ul> 
Experience:<ul><li>
1&ndash;2 years of experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric setting preferred.</li><li>
Prior charge nurse or supervisory experience is highly desirable.</li></ul> 
Technical Skills:<ul><li>
Proficiency in EHR systems; PCC (PointClickCare) experience preferred but not required.</li></ul>
