Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to support our legal team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong foundation in legal administrative functions and a desire to gain diverse experience across multiple practice areas. The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and possess excellent communication skills to assist with case management, document preparation, and client interactions within a professional law office environment.Seeking part-time Legal/Administrative Assistant/Legal Secretary (in-office/non-remote). Applicant should be well organized, detail oriented and have good communication skills.Responsibilities include:<ul><li>Confidentiality and professionalism</li><li>Computer experience and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and file-sharing experience</li><li>Electronic filing with Courts and electronic service of documents</li><li>Excellent communication skills and grammar</li><li>Communications with Court personnel, attorneys and staff from other offices, clients</li><li>Electronic communications (e-mail)</li><li>Setting up computer for Zoom Court hearings</li><li>Type/prepare/proof legal documents, pleadings, discovery, correspondence</li><li>Billing (Timeslips)/Accounts Receivable</li><li>Accounts Payable</li><li>Answer incoming calls</li><li>Set up and organize/maintain client files</li><li>Diary and meet deadlines</li><li>Keep attorney and file schedules up to date</li><li>Maintain and order supplies</li><li>General office duties (typing, photocopying, filing, faxing)</li></ul>Additional Requirements:<ul><li>Excellent typing skills</li><li>Professional attitude</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Computer/Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel, Outlook) and file sharing</li><li>Legal experience and legal terminology a plus</li></ul>Waechter &amp; Gustafson Law Office is a small fast-paced busy law firm representing clients primarily in Family Law located in downtown Willmar near the Courthouse.Pay based on experience.Benefits negotiable.Job Type: Part-timePay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 15 &ndash; 25 per weekWork Location: In person
