Job Summary
The Server Assistant supports the front-of-house team by assisting with food and beverage service, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience for members and guests. This role plays a critical part in maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency. Server Assistants help with setting up, cleaning, and supporting service tasks, and contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere.<div>
Reporting Structure</div><ul><li>Reports to the F&amp;B Director, Banquet Manager or Restaurant Manager</li></ul>
Day-to-Day<ul><li>
Assist with delivering food and beverages to members/guests, ensuring prompt service.</li><li>
Help maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including setting up tables and restocking supplies.</li><li>
Gain basic knowledge of the &agrave; la carte menu and daily specials to assist with service and answer simple questions.</li><li>
Greet members/guests with a friendly attitude, providing basic assistance and ensuring a welcoming environment.</li><li>
Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth dining experience, providing support as needed.</li><li>
Assist in handling Member/Guest requests and complaints, escalating issues to Servers or management when necessary.</li><li>
Complete side work, including cleaning, organizing, and stocking work areas to meet club standards.</li><li>
Follow safety and cleanliness guidelines, ensuring all areas are maintained in accordance with Club policies.</li><li>
Perform additional duties as assigned by management, including supporting special events and large parties.</li></ul>
Additional Duties<ul><li>
Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.</li><li>
Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.</li><li>
Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.</li><li>
Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.</li><li>
Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.</li><li>
Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.</li><li>
Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team&rsquo;s success.</li><li>
Wear a clean, neat uniform that meets club standards.</li></ul>
About You
Preferred<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Previous experience in Food and Beverage service.</li><li>
Current Food Handler and Alcohol Server Certifications as required by state and city regulations.</li><li>
Completion of Invited&rsquo;s F&amp;B Service Training program.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak clearly and effectively.</li><li>
Ability to follow instructions and communicate well with team members.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical activities for extended periods.</li><li>
Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments, with potential exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.</li><li>
Capable of climbing ladders, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, twisting, bending, and folding/unfolding as required.</li><li>
Able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.</li><li>
Effective communication skills, including talking and hearing, with sufficient visual acuity.</li></ul>
