Role SummaryThe procurement coordinator supports daily shop operations for vehicle upfitting and fleet accessory installs. You&rsquo;ll order, receive, validate, organize, and issue parts and consumables; maintain accurate inventory; keep the shop clean and efficient; and assist technicians to ensure builds stay on schedule. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes working around vehicles, parts, and tools. This role will assist build success by providing the supplies and information needed for technicians before their builds begin.You will work in close conjunction with the operations manager to finalize orders months in advance of their start date, place said orders in accordance with the build schedule, as well as track and receive the orders as they arrive. Making sure that all parts have arrived and are correct before the build begins will be of utmost importance.This role will also assist in the development of a system of scannable inventory through currently undetermined software.________________________________________Key ResponsibilitiesInventory &amp; Parts Control<ul><li>Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips/POs.</li></ul><ul><li>Label, bin, and stock parts in assigned locations.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintain accurate inventory counts; perform weekly/monthly cycle counts.</li></ul><ul><li>Stage parts/kits for scheduled upfits</li></ul><ul><li>Track backorders, shortages, and damaged/missing items.</li></ul><ul><li>Use inventory software/spreadsheets to update quantities, locations, and usage.</li></ul><ul><li>Coordinate returns/warranties with vendors when needed.</li></ul>Shop Support<ul><li>Assist with vehicle pickups, deliveries, or relocation to and from Storage facilities</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare work areas and bays for upcoming installs.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist techs by pulling parts, moving vehicles, and handling basic tasks.</li></ul><ul><li>Keep shop organized: sweep floors, remove trash, keep aisles clear.</li></ul><ul><li>Safely operate pallet jacks and carts; help load/unload vehicles or equipment.</li></ul><ul><li>Support quality checks by confirming correct parts and kits are used per work order.</li></ul>Safety &amp; Process<ul><li>Follow shop safety rules, PPE requirements, and organization standards.</li></ul><ul><li>Report hazards, damaged tools, or unsafe conditions immediately.</li></ul><ul><li>Help improve inventory accuracy and shop efficiency through suggestions and teamwork.</li></ul>________________________________________Required Experience &amp; Qualifications<ul><li>0&ndash;2 years&rsquo; experience in inventory, warehouse, shop helper, or parts counter role.</li></ul><ul><li>Comfortable working in a busy automotive/truck/fabrication shop environment.</li></ul><ul><li>Basic computer skills (email, scanning, spreadsheets, inventory systems).</li></ul><ul><li>Able to read part numbers, labels, packing slips, and simple work orders.</li></ul><ul><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license; clean driving record preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and stand/walk for long periods.</li></ul>________________________________________Preferred / Nice-to-Have<ul><li>Experience in vehicle upfitting, fleet accessories, automotive parts, or light fabrication.</li></ul><ul><li>Familiarity with systems like QuickBooks, Fishbowl, NetSuite, SAP, or similar.</li></ul><ul><li>Forklift certification.</li></ul><ul><li>Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand tools.</li></ul>________________________________________What Success Looks Like<ul><li>Inventory stays accurate, organized, and easy for techs to pull.</li></ul><ul><li>Parts are staged ahead of installs, minimizing downtime.</li></ul><ul><li>Shop remains clean, safe, and efficient.</li></ul><ul><li>Techs and managers can rely on you to keep jobs moving.</li></ul>________________________________________Benefits<ul><li>Health, dental, vision (50% of Cost of Employee paid by company)</li></ul><ul><li>40 Hours PTO at disposal, then final two weeks of year off; Paid.</li></ul>Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hourExpected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
