JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Under general supervision, plan and provide services for children and families, for both in-home and placement cases. Interact with Children Services staff, law enforcement, prosecutors office, courts, caregivers, and other community service providers. Prepare and maintain case records as required by law. Perform other related duties as required.QUALIFICATIONS:Any combination of training and work experience which indicates possession of the skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to perform job responsibilities. The minimum qualifications for this position are: a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a closely related field. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as adherence to detail.LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>Valid Ohio Driver's License and Dependable Transportation</li><li>102 hours of Core Child Welfare training in the first year of employment</li></ul>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>Provide case management/protective services to children and families both in-home and with families where our agency has the child in custody (includes transportation of children).</li><li>Establish working relationships with families to identify problems and goals.</li><li>Assess safety of children using the Safety Assessment document.</li><li>Develop case plans consistent with statutory requirements which address identified problems by means of measurable, observable objectives and appropriate services.</li><li>Coordinate services with community and area service providers.</li><li>Assist families in accessing services, including information and referrals, reasonable transportation.</li><li>Monitor and assess progress in achievement of case plan goals; amend case plans as necessary and required by statue and rule.</li><li>Consult with the Prosecutors Office regarding Juvenile Court intervention.</li><li>File complaints in Juvenile Court; prepare for hearings, testify; submit case plans and amendments, reports, and recommendations as required.</li><li>Prepare for and participate in mandatory case reviews for all families.</li><li>Conduct and prepare reports of home investigations ordered by Juvenile Court.</li><li>Conduct and prepare interstate and intrastate home evaluations for purposes of placement and/or provision of supportive services; may also include courtesy supervision.</li><li>Conduct investigations of alleged abuse/neglect in already open cases.</li><li>Demonstrate a regular and predictable attendance.</li><li>Follow all safety and health practices of the Warren County Board of County Commissioners.</li></ul>OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Submit required forms (timesheets, mileage according to agency policy).</li><li>Maintain accurate and factual case records with documentation required by law.</li><li>Complete individual supervision with Protective Services Supervisor as arranged.</li><li>Attend unit meetings and agency staff meetings as scheduled.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $23.06 - $26.84 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Health savings account</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Retirement plan</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with families at risk of child maltreatment, screened in for assessment/investigation, as partners to identify family strengths, needs, and risks or concerns that are interfering with child safety, healthy child development, and/or family stability and well-being. Use standardized tools and protocols to assess and document safety and risk. Create individualized service plans and/or case plans with identified goals in partnership with family and build objectives toward achieving goals. View family strengths and needs holistically and make appropriate service and support recommendations based on assessments and established goals. Facilitate family&rsquo;s ability to meet goals through engagement, communication, support, and connections to services. Implement crisis intervention as needed; may require work during non-traditional hours. Assess reports pursuant to ORC 5101:2-36-20; Case assessment to be completed within mandated time frames.2. Coordinate with families and other agency partners as necessary.3. Close or transfer cases as required.4. Provide ongoing case management if the family is in need of additional support.5. Convert a case from the alternative response pathway to the traditional response pathway as required by ORC 5101:2-36-20.6. Further activity possible after transfer including but not limited to, court testimony.7. Will be assigned hotline coverage on a rotating basis (one week at a time).8. Documentation and Case Recording; prepare files with mandated forms, case notes, family assessment, medical forms, releases, transfer/closing summaries, etc.9. Document investigative reports for police, prosecutor and courts.10. Document mileage, including expenses, and time sheet forms.11. Follows all safety and health practices of the Warren County Board of Commissioners as described in the attached addendum.12. Caseworker III may be assigned courtesy supervisionOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 1. Regular case conferencing with supervisor.2. Group supervision and unit meetings as arranged by supervisor.3. Agency staff meetings.4.
