Help us steer our clients toward the justice they deserve at Washington Auto Law.Key Responsibilities:**Medical Records**<ul><li>Obtain, organize, and review medical records from healthcare providers.</li><li>Analyze Medical Records to identify key information, summarize findings, and create reports.</li><li>Communicate with healthcare providers and other medical facilities to request and follow up on medical records.</li><li>Draft Medical records summary, chronologies, and other documents for case preparation.</li></ul>** Demand Letters**<ul><li>Prepare comprehensive and compelling demand letters on behalf of the clients who have been injured in accidents. This includes summarizing the facts, outlining injuries, medical treatment, associated costs, and providing a clear demand for compensation.</li><li>Review client employment records, tax returns, and other documents to calculate loss wages from the injury.</li><li>Review Medical Records, police reports, and other evidence to understand the scope of the client's injuries, the impact on their life, and the potential value of the claim.</li><li>Liaise with medical providers to gather necessary documentation and ensure accuracy in demand letter preparation.</li></ul>Required Skills and Qualifications:**Education:**<ul><li>A bachelor's degree or associate of arts is preferred, though relevant experience is considered.</li></ul>**Experience:**<ul><li>Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Personal Injury law firm preferred.</li><li>Minimum 1-2 years of experience working with medical records in a legal or healthcare setting preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and other applications and/or systems (i.e., Adobe Acrobat).</li><li>Experience handling large volume of cases in a legal or healthcare setting.</li><li>FileVine Case Management software (or similar) experience is a huge plus.</li></ul>**Skills and personal attributes:**<ul><li>Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when reviewing medical records, damages and accident facts.</li><li>Familiarity with personal injury law and standard practices in the preparation of settlement demands.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, as well as case management software.</li><li>Highly Professional in all interactions with a positive outlook</li><li>Growth Mindset.</li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, attorneys, and other professionals.</li><li>Problem-solving skills.</li><li>Team Player and collaborative attitude, willingness to assist the legal team as needed.</li><li>Professional appearance.</li><li>Hard Work and Get it done Attitude.</li><li>Desire to contribute to the team and success of the firm.</li><li>Doing whatever it takes to get the job done.</li><li>Compassionate and empathetic demeanor when dealing with clients facing distressing situations.</li><li>Discretion and respect for confidentiality and privacy.</li><li>The right candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and fluent in English and , is preferred.</li></ul>Benefits PackageWashington Auto Law offers competitive pay, great opportunities for growth and advancement and a competitive benefits package, including PTO policy, paid holidays, and retirement account matching.
