</p><p></p><p>The Maintenance Manager plans, organizes and supervises the Division's maintenance staff and functions. This management position holds responsibly for overall fleet/equipment support and associated maintenance processes that include inspection, repair, pre/post servicing, vehicle distribution, quality assurance and disposal at the Division level. This manager will work in partnership with the Regional Maintenance Manager and Operations teams to ensure overall fleet condition, equipment reliability, safety and cost effective fleet performance.</p>
<p><b>
RESPONSIBILITIES:</b><br>
1. Manages departmental hiring, training, coaching, performance management, discipline, scheduling of work assignments, and overtime authorization.<br>
2. Maintains an ongoing preventive/corrective maintenance program which sets the standard for service excellence.<br>
3. Reviews status reports including road calls, breakdowns, parts inventory, repairs, and safety performance.<br>
4. Provides hands-on maintenance assistance as needed.<br>
5. Education of driver responsibilities as it relates to DVIR's, operation of fleet vehicles, and basic CDL requirements.<br>
6. Assures all maintenance-related data is available for input in the vehicle maintenance system.<br>
7. Monitor Dossier efficiencies to include inventory control, goals for improved performance, monitoring, measuring and reporting.<br>
8. Assists in purchasing of new vehicles, equipment, tools and containers.<br>
9. Responsible for establishing maintenance related training sessions that improve overall fleet condition and operational knowledge of drivers, mechanics, and shop personnel.<br>
10. Administer and monitor regional adherence to federal and state programs, and oversees maintenance in accordance with EPA and other mandatory regulations.<br>
11. Verifies implementations of required DOT, OSHA, EPA regulations and monitors conformance as required on an ongoing basis. Coordinate efforts with local Safety, Corporate Safety and Regional Maintenance Manager.<br>
12. Ensuring efficient utilization, vehicle maintenance quality, and transportation to ready-lines.<br>
13. Fleet inventory/condition reporting, including out of service listing, matched to asset list.

14. Manages divisional maintenance budgets.<br>
15. Responsible for implementation/monitoring of all fleet maintenance activities (e.g.Pre/Post pre-trip, safety lane, warranty recovery, tire standards, oil/lubricants, major component failure, and all new initiatives).<br>
16. Facilitate movement of equipment between division ensuring proper inspections and delivery of equipment in ready condition.<br>
17. Evaluate body damage estimates as it relates to maintenance and fleet functions; manages cost controls and enhances vendor service.<br>
18. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend modifications and/or alternate vendors based on maintenance/costing information.<br>
19. Analyze service issues related to fleet maintenance and performs root cause analysis, recommends remediation methodologies and escalates as needed to address issues.<br>

<ul><li>Specialized understanding of maintenance procedures and general knowledge of industry regulations (e.g. EPA, DOT, OSHA).</li></ul>

Fleet Maintenance Manager - Waste Industry/Southaven

<div><p><b>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</b><br>
The data entry clerk is a multi-purpose position that will report cross functionally to several business leaders and work in a combination of secretarial, administrative, data management functions. The Data Entry Clerk will function as liaison between divisional operations as needed. This position requires a high degree of organization and planning, along with skills required to generate accurate and timely data reports. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.</p>

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</b><br>
<ul><li>Dispatches drivers to calls as they are received, using information on customer needs, drivers' locations and loads, and daily factors to balance cost and speed of response.
</li><li>Assign routes and service tickets to appropriate drivers throughout the day and for the next day; close service tickets each day.
</li><li>Plan, distribute, monitor and follow-up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced, per Waste Pro standards and agreements. Troubleshoots and resolves potential delivery and pick-up problems before they result in service issues.</li><li>Close routes, enter notes and call customers regarding concerns. Effectively communicate with both drivers and customers to insure customer satisfaction.
</li><li>Work directly with Customer Service, Operations, and Sales Managers, Supervisors and the Drivers to insure prompt follow through of all issues.</li><li>Input New Service Agreements and Service Orders.</li><li>Review route paperwork and close work orders from previous day routes, paying close attention to detail, identifying and correcting any issues. Records and documents information from drivers and distributes to appropriate departments.</li><li>Support other service lines when required.</li><li>Completes cross training with Operations, Sales and Billing.</li><li>Uses Tower systems to gather information, provides information, and/or update customer records.</li></ul></div>

SUMMARY OF POSITION:</b><br>
The Commercial Route Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily service delivery to commercial Waste Pro customers ensuring safe, timely, and cost effective delivery of contracted services in accordance with Waste Pro practices ,procedures ,and applicable regulations. This position understands Waste Pro Core Values and applies principles of Positive Leadership in the supervision of drivers</p>

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
</b><br>
1. Directly responsible for the supervision of drivers and performance of daily operations. Greet drivers upon their arrival to the yard; ensure that pre and post trip inspections are conducted. Communicate to the driver's key service points, safety, and equipment issues while ensuring they are part of the Waste Pro team and understand the core values.<br>
2. Establish and maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure compliance with company policies.
<br>
3. Share Decision Driving techniques and ensure that employees adhere to and are knowledgeable of Waste Pro safety guidelines. Reinforce daily safe work practices and assist with the delivery of weekly safety meetings.
<br>
4. Route all new service starts including obtaining work order, scheduling delivery of container and service days. Review productivity reports daily (yardage, tonnage and hauls), reroute non-performing routes to maximize service calls while ensuring that labor costs are minimized. Schedule removal of cans on a timely basis when service is cancelled.<br>
5. Follow the routes to ensure that Waste Pro provides a Distinguishably Different level of service to customers. Respond to dispatch calls or messages submitted via the Trac-Ez system. Talk with the driver(s) to clarify any unique service requirements and to make driver aware of the situation for the next day service. Address all customer issues, complaints and inquiries by speaking with the customer and/or driver. Address overloaded cans, renew contracts or refer service changes to the sales representative if applicable. Interact with city, state and municipalities to ensure customers are serviced in a timely manner.

6. Perform route observations to ensure safety procedures are followed. Ensure corrals are in good condition, cans are sanitized, debris is picked up around can, bins are placed and labeled properly, and gates are closed. Complete route observation reports and discuss observations with driver including safety issues, customer calls, route cleanliness and truck appearance. Identify training needs and review with driver.

7. Monitor driver's daily pre-trip inspection, address findings, and ensure driver conducts proper inspections. Review all truck repair issues and address with shop manager to ensure mechanical issues are fixed.
<br>
8. Monitor driver time and attendance, completed route sheets, disposal tickets and compliance with DOT hours of service and Waste Pro regulations.
<br>
9. Complete accident and injury reports. Respond to vehicle accident investigations, workers compensation and property damage claims.
<br>
10. Train and provide orientation for new employees.
<br>
11. Conduct performance evaluations, monitor and track employee attendance, complete disciplinary actions and attend meetings that apply positive leadership principles.<br>
12. Ensure front loaders are cleaned on a daily basis.

Requirements:
<div><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b><br>
<ul><li>Requires a High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the transportation, management, logistics or waste industry; or Associate's Degree or minimum of 2 years experience in transportation, logistics, or solid waste operations in which coaching, routing assessments and supervising employees are requirements of the role.</li><li>Knowledge and prior application of Smith System and/or Decision Driving principles and techniques.
</li><li>Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
</li><li>Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI and other related federal, state &amp; local regulations.
</li><li>Valid class A or B commercial driver's license (or ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire) with a personal and business driving record that meets Waste Pro standards and insurance requirements.
