Who are we looking for a Medical Assistant?
The ideal Medical Assistant candidate is positive, energetic, intelligent, highly dependable, organized, and can multi-task. The MA is responsible for assisting the Provider with patient visits, including consultative and surgical procedures.
Medical Assistant Primary Duties:<div><ul><li>
Assisting providers in providing quality care to patients.</li><li>
Greeting and preparing patients for examinations and treatments.</li><li>
Providing side-by-side assistance with surgical procedures.</li><li>
Assist with sterilizing instruments and ensuring cleanliness and organization of exam rooms.</li><li>
Reviewing medical history, maintaining patient records and documentation accurately and confidentially and maintaining notes in EMR system.</li><li>
Obtaining appropriate consents when necessary.</li><li>
Calling in prescriptions, performing patient call backs and handling administrative duties when necessary.</li></ul></div>
 Medical Assistant Skills and Qualities:<ul><li>
Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers</li><li>
Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider&rsquo;s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice</li><li>
Proficient communication skills (written and verbal)</li><li>
Able to travel between locations</li></ul>

 Experience and Education:<ul><li>
Preferred Medical Assistant (MA) Certification, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) License, or LPN</li><li>
Hands-on experience in a clinical setting, Will train the right candidate</li><li>
Dermatology or surgical experience is preferred, not required</li></ul>
