Machine Center Electromechanical Maintenance Technician (3 PM to 3 AM)
This position is located in Waupaca, Wisconsin.
ROLE:
The Electromechanical Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, machine overhauls, machine installs, inspections, services, and general cleaning on facility equipment and systems while most importantly, exceeding safety expectations.
 RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Maintaining a safe and organized workplace.</li><li>
Performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and service on machines in a fast-paced production focused facility.</li><li>
Work during plant shutdowns which typically occur on weekends and holidays.</li><li>
Installs new equipment or moves current equipment to facilitate production efficiency.</li><li>
Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.</li><li>
Work during machine center shutdowns which typically occur on off production weekends and holidays.</li><li>
Installs new equipment or moves current equipment to facilitate production efficiency.</li><li>
Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.</li><li>
Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.</li><li>
Orders and installs replacement parts for machines.</li><li>
Identifies the root causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.</li><li>
Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.</li><li>
Prepares reports documenting work performed.</li><li>
Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
</li><li>Assist outside contractors as needed for special projects.</li><li>
Use computers to create work orders, order parts, monitor systems, submit reports, accurately record time confirmations, and check email. Primary programs will be Microsoft office suit, Indusoft, and SAP.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:<ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED required, associate&rsquo;s degree preferred</li></ul><ul><li>
Vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience preferred.</li><li>
Previous industrial/electrical mechanical maintenance experience preferred.</li><li>
Previous welding/fabricating/plumbing/pipefitting experience preferred.</li><li>
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems preferred.</li><li>
Strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn required.</li><li>
Must be able to efficiently troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate repair timeline to production.</li><li>
Experience with programmable logic controllers preferred.</li><li>
Siemens TIA Portal.</li><li>
Strong electrical aptitude and a willingness to learn required.</li><li>
Ability to read electrical schematics required.
</li><li>Ability to bend and install conduit or willingness to learn required.</li><li>
Identify voltage of equipment and place in electrically safe condition. To include equipment from 120V to 24900V.</li><li>
Knowledge of or willingness to learn Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV), and welding.
</li><li>Robotic programming and troubleshooting.</li></ul><ul><li>
Ability to use forklifts, cranes, electrical pallet jacks, etc.</li><li>
High level of attention to details.
</li><li>Ability to work on elevated work structures while wearing appropriate PPE to include aerial lift platforms and cat walks.</li><li>
Ability to work in and around dirty/dusty locations while wearing appropriate PPE.</li><li>
Ability to work inside confined spaces while using appropriate PPE.</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding production focused environment.</li></ul><ul><li>
Ability to lift 30 lbs. continually and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.</li><li>
Ability to walk and or stand constantly throughout a shift.</li><li>
Able to climb stairs/ladders, bend, stretch, push, pull, pinch, kneel, and move as needed to preform duties.</li><li>
Must be able to visually inspect parts and machines.</li><li>
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.</li></ul>
