While our DevOps engineers are involved in multiple things throughout the Technology organization, primarily they are responsible for working with the Technology teams to design, build, and implement amazing environmental automation. Participation in systems design and architecture for our internal automation platform</div></li><li><div>
Performance analysis and tuning, specifically in a .NET/MS SQL environment</div></li><li><div>
Development and support of tools and APIs that enable automated deployments, load balancer configuration, and containerization</div></li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li><div>
Automation of systems management tasks</div></li><li><div>
Automation of system and application monitoring and alerting</div></li><li><div>
Operationalization of new technologies introduced into the environment</div></li><li><div>
Develops and maintains open and fluid communication with Management</div></li><li><div>

Assists in the creation and/or approving of technical specifications</div></li><li><div>
Assists in identifying areas in the application that need to be refactored</div></li><li><div>
Works with the various departments and team members to design and/or implement various new enhancements to the existing applications. This includes, but is not limited to, SQL table design, SQL stored procedure design, and process design in the designated programming language</div></li><li><div>
Tracks any changes required by such development using internal tools, and communicates to the QA Team any abnormalities required to push the changes from development through the various stages to production</div></li><li><div>
Identifies and informs the Manager, Application Engineering of areas of the application that can be improved by refactoring, optimization, or other improved technology solutions</div></li></ul></div></div><div><div><ul><li><div>
Notifies the Manager, Application Engineering of any problems that negatively impact applications, and works to implement a solution</div></li><li><div>
Communicates and works with the Manager, Application Engineering to reassign any items that cannot be addressed in a timely fashion</div></li><li><div>
Provides estimates for project tasks using an internal project tool, and updates the estimates if they increase or decrease</div></li><li><div>

<div><div>ABOUT THIS POSITION</div><div></div>
The SDET is responsible for testing the company's products to ensure that company standards and specifications are met. Responsibilities include executing test cases, creating and running automated scripts, creating defect reports, and working with Application Engineering to troubleshoot issues. The Lead QA Engineer will perform some, or all, of the following types of testing: functional, regression, usability, and load/performance. Also, the SDET works closely with the Manager, Application Engineering to ensure that the product is meeting the Waystar quality standards.<div></div><div>

Strategic QA Planning</div><ul><li>
Define and implement comprehensive test strategies and frameworks for projects.</li><li>

Process Improvement</div><ul><li>
Identify opportunities to improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.</li><li>
Lead initiatives to enhance automation coverage and efficiency.</li><li>
Drive adoption of best practices in testing, defect management, and reporting.</li></ul><div>
Technical Oversight</div><ul><li>
Guide the team in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for web, API, and service layers (Selenium, Playwright, C#.Nunit, Postman, Jmeter, etc.).</li><li>
Ensure integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>
Oversee backend validation and data integrity checks using SQL and other tools.</li></ul><div>
Collaboration &amp; Stakeholder Engagement</div><ul><li>
Work closely with Application Engineers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met.</li><li>
Represent the QA function in Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, and sprint planning.</li><li>
Communicate QA status, risks, and issues to leadership and project teams.</li></ul><div>
Defect Management</div><ul><li>
Oversee defect identification, logging, tracking, and resolution using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.</li><li>
Ensure timely troubleshooting and validation of fixes.</li></ul><div></div><div>
WHAT YOU'LL NEED</div><ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 1 years in a lead or supervisory role.</li><li>
Proficiency in:<ul><li>
Automation tools and Frameworks: Selenium, Playwright, C#.Nunit.</li><li>
Testing tools: Postman, Azure DevOps.</li><li>
