For over 10 years, we&rsquo;ve provided reliable, high-quality care through a supportive team environment.We are currently hiring a Full-Time Dog Walker &amp; Pet Care Provider to serve our Essex, CT area.This role is ideal for a mature, dependable animal lover who enjoys working independently, takes pride in being on time and prepared, and is excited to grow with a respected local company.Why You&rsquo;ll Love This Role<ul><li>Consistent weekday schedule (Monday&ndash;Friday daytime hours)</li><li>Spend your days with wonderful dogs and pets</li><li>Competitive hourly pay + tips + bonuses</li><li>Paid training and ongoing support</li><li>PTO, 401(k) and additional company perks</li><li>Work for a structured, team-based company - never feel &ldquo;on your own&rdquo;</li></ul>What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>Walk dogs safely and confidently in all weather conditions</li><li>Handle dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels</li><li>Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly</li><li>Provide basic care for dogs and cats (medication administration experience is a plus)</li><li>Engage in playtime activities with pets to promote physical and mental stimulation</li><li>Clean cat and other small pets' litter and cages and sweep surrounding area</li><li>Follow specific instructions provided by owners regarding their pets' care and behavior</li><li>Drive between visits using your own reliable vehicle</li><li>Represent the company professionally in clients&rsquo; homes and neighborhoods</li><li>Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, addressing any concerns or questions they may have</li></ul>Who You Are<ul><li>Experienced with dogs and comfortable managing multiple types of personalities</li><li>Reliable, punctual and take personal responsibility seriously</li><li>Calm under pressure and able to think critically in real-time situations</li><li>Enjoy working independently while staying connected to a team</li><li>Tech-comfortable and able to use scheduling/reporting apps</li><li>Local to the Madison shoreline area</li><li>Available for a consistent full-time weekday schedule</li></ul>Bonus points if you:<ul><li>Have prior professional pet care, veterinary, shelter, or training experience</li><li>Are seeking long-term stability and growth within a company</li><li>Value structure, communication, and doing things the right way</li></ul>Job Requirements<ul><li>Genuine love for both dogs and cats, with a strong understanding of animal behavior</li><li>Proven experience confidently handling dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels</li><li>Ability to work independently while following established procedures and schedules accurately</li><li>Strong time-management skills and personal accountability for maintaining a consistent route</li><li>Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs daily in all weather conditions</li><li>Comfortable assisting large or strong dogs when needed, including occasional lifting or support</li><li>Reliable vehicle with valid driver&rsquo;s license, registration, and insurance</li><li>Willingness to safely transport dogs in your vehicle when required</li><li>Comfortable using mobile apps for scheduling, communication, and visit reporting</li><li>Pet CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire)</li></ul>About UsAt We Let the Dogs Out, we believe pets deserve exceptional care and our team deserves exceptional support.
