Role Overview 
The Growth Marketing Lead will be the driving force behind how WedgeHR tells its story, attracts customers, and converts interest into revenue. This role combines creative storytelling with analytical growth thinking - ideal for someone who can move between strategy and execution fluidly. 
 
Team: Marketing 
Reports to: COO 
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 
Travel: Quarterly travel required 
 
Core Responsibilities 
Go-to-Market Strategy &amp; Campaigns<ul><li>
Develop and execute WedgeHR&rsquo;s GTM and demand generation strategy focused on increasing market awareness and generating MQLs.</li><li>
Identify and prioritize high-impact channels (organic, paid, partner, and social) for testing and scaling.</li><li>
Partner with internal stakeholders to align messaging, ICPs, and lead quality.
</li></ul>Content &amp; Brand Storytelling<ul><li>
Own the content calendar across website, blog, email, and social &mdash; telling stories that resonate with HR leaders, franchise owners, and hiring teams.</li><li>
Write or edit website copy, newsletters, one-pagers, and campaign assets.</li><li>
Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone that reflects WedgeHR&rsquo;s brand messaging standards.</li></ul>
Website, SEO, and Conversion Optimization<ul><li>
Own the website experience - guiding visitors to MQLs and signups.</li><li>
Optimize SEO through content structure, backlinks, and analytics insights.</li><li>
Report on traffic, conversion, and engagement metrics monthly.</li></ul>
Email &amp; CRM Automation<ul><li>
Manage HubSpot marketing workflows, newsletters, and nurture sequences.</li><li>
Build automated email campaigns and lead scoring systems to move prospects down the funnel.</li></ul>
Data &amp; Growth Analytics<ul><li>
Track performance metrics: traffic, MQLs, signups, CAC, and ROI.</li><li>
Build dashboards that show the impact of marketing efforts in real time.</li><li>
Use data to identify growth opportunities and optimize spend.</li></ul> 
Ideal Background<ul><li>
5&ndash;7 years of marketing experience in a SaaS or HR Tech startup.</li><li>
Proven success as a one-person marketing team or early-stage builder.</li><li>
Comfortable with HubSpot, Ads Platforms, and analytics tools.</li><li>
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.</li><li>
Hands-on, resourceful, and thrives in ambiguity.</li></ul>
