Position: Welder - 2nd shift
Team: Fabrication Team
Primary Objective of Position:
A Welder is responsible for setting up, fabricating and welding complex parts using various welding processes. A Welder works with a high degree of detail adhering to safety and quality standards.
Major Areas of Accountability:
<ul><li>Set up and fabricate a wide variety of components using various welding processes, primarily FCAW and GMAW.</li>
<li>Use oxygen-acetylene, oxygen-natural gas, plasma arc and carbon-arc equipment to heat, straighten, trim and bevel ferrous and non-ferrous material.</li>
<li>Read drawings and routings to determine method, sequence of operation, position, tolerances and welding specifications, to include proper filler materials, fluxes and weld machine settings.</li>
<li>Make all necessary layouts and setups using proper tools and fabricating equipment.</li>
<li>Uses portable electric or air driven grinding or chipping equipment.</li>
<li>Perform self-inspection and documentation of welded components.</li>
<li>Provide feedback on rejected welded components, and may determine disposition of rework for rejection report.</li>
<li>Works in other areas of the Fabrication Team skills matrix, may work in other areas fabricating parts and brazing.</li>
<li>Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane or jib crane.</li>
<li>Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day to day work.</li>
<li>Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides to OSHA and EPA regulations.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
<ul><li>1-2 year welding degree or High School degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant welding experience.</li>
<li>Must pass a FCAW 3G and GMAW-SC 2G weld test.</li>
<li>Knowledge of layouts, ability to read blueprints, perform basic math and calculate conversions.</li>
<li>Ability to be certified in overhead and Jib crane operation and forklift operation.</li>

Saturday is paid at time and a half, Sundays are paid at double time!

Welder - 2nd Shift

Position: Assembler - 2nd Shift
Team: Assembly
Primary Objective of Position:
An Assembler is responsible for the assembly of motors, generators and drives. 
 
Major Areas of Accountability:
<ul><li>Assembles rotor assembly on synchronous, induction/turbo and laminated spider jobs</li>
<li>Assembles exciter rotor and stators</li>
<li>Rectifier assembly, steel, glastic and turbo diode wheels.</li>
<li>Final assembly of synchronous, vertical, turbo generator and induction motors.</li>
<li>Other sub assembly, such as FDR Assembly (spool wound), main terminal box assembly and GDS transmitter and exciter field power supply assembly.</li>
<li>Does layout, fabrication and assembly of conduit and piping.</li>
<li>Arc weld assemblies and sub-assemblies</li>
<li>Set up and operate balance stand, large and Static</li>
<li>Engraves and places name plates and green tags equipment
</li><li>Works in other areas of the Assembly Team skills matrix, may prepare and paint product, procure lumber, shipping cartons, shipping supplies and tools. May prepare and package shipments in boxes, skids/crates.</li>
<li>Completes necessary QA/Customer documentation.</li>
<li>Lift and move materials using forklift, pallet jack, overhead crane or jib crane.</li>
<li>Demonstrates a commitment to Continuous Improvement by identifying opportunities in day-to-day work.</li>
<li>Performs to ISO 9001 Quality Standards and abides to OSHA and EPA regulations.</li>
</ul>
Knowledge/ Skills/Abilities:
<ul><li>High School degree or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.</li>
<li>Strong mechanical aptitude</li>
<li>Ability to be certified in overhead and Jib crane operation and forklift operation.</li>
<li>Ability to effectively communicate and work in small teams to assemble product</li>
</ul>
Physical Requirements:
<ul><li>Routinely lifts and moves objects up to 20 lbs.</li>
<li>Occasionally lifts and moves objects up to 50 lbs.</li>
<li>Routinely ascends/descends ladders and stairs.</li>
<li>Occasionally works at heights or on platforms.</li>
<li>Occasionally positions self in various works spaces, including low, tight or confined spaces.</li>
<li>Routinely remains in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.</li>
