Our team works closely with sponsors, CROs, and principal investigators to bring novel therapies to patients in our community. We are currently seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a background in oncology and clinical research to join our team on an hourly basis.POSITION OVERVIEW:The Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in the conduct of oncology clinical trials, working collaboratively with the Principal Investigator and research team to ensure protocol compliance, patient safety, and high-quality data collection. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, patient-centered research environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Clinical Research Duties:<ul><li>Assist the Principal Investigator in screening, enrolling, and managing patients in oncology clinical trials</li><li>Conduct study visits, including vital signs, physical assessments, and adverse event monitoring</li><li>Administer investigational products (oral, IV, subcutaneous) per protocol requirements</li><li>Perform and coordinate protocol-required procedures (e.g., ECGs, lab draws, tumor assessments)</li><li>Educate patients and families about study participation, potential risks, and benefits</li><li>Monitor and manage trial-related toxicities in collaboration with the PI</li></ul>Regulatory &amp; Documentation:<ul><li>Ensure accurate and timely source documentation and electronic case report form (eCRF) completion</li><li>Assist with query resolution and data clarification</li><li>Maintain compliance with ICH-GCP guidelines, FDA regulations, and institutional policies</li><li>Support informed consent process, ensuring patient understanding and proper documentation</li></ul>Coordination &amp; Collaboration:<ul><li>Communicate effectively with research coordinators, data managers, and sponsor monitors</li><li>Participate in site initiation visits, monitoring visits, and close-out visits</li><li>Assist with preparation for audits and regulatory inspections</li></ul>QUALIFICATIONS:Required:<ul><li>Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in [State]</li><li>Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program</li><li>National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANC or AANP)</li><li>Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in oncology (medical oncology, hematology-oncology, or infusion setting)</li><li>Familiarity with clinical trial terminology and research operations</li><li>Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills</li><li>Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applications</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Prior experience working in clinical research (industry-sponsored trials, cooperative group studies, or investigator-initiated research)</li><li>Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines and FDA regulations</li><li>Certification in Clinical Research (SoCRA, ACRP) is a plus</li><li>Experience with oncology trial populations (solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, immunotherapy, targeted therapy)</li><li>Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification</li></ul>SCHEDULE:<ul><li>Flexible hourly schedule</li><li>Hours will vary based on study visit volume and patient needs</li><li>Ideal for candidates seeking supplemental income or work-life balance</li></ul>WHY JOIN US?<ul><li>Opportunity to work at the forefront of oncology drug development</li><li>Supportive, collaborative team environment</li><li>Flexible scheduling with competitive hourly pay</li><li>Make a meaningful impact in the lives of cancer patients through access to novel therapies</li></ul>TO APPLY:Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your oncology and clinical research experience to muzammil@patientcareclinicalresearch.comWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our site.
