Job Description: Solar Site EngineerPosition: Solar Site Engineer Department: Projects / Installation Location: Site-Based (Travel Required) Employment Type: Full-timeRole OverviewThe Solar Site Engineer is responsible for executing on-site installation, commissioning, and maintenance of rooftop and ground-mounted solar power systems. The role ensures that projects are implemented safely, efficiently, and as per technical standards.Key Responsibilities1. Site Assessment &amp; Planning<ul><li>Conduct site surveys including shadow analysis, load assessment, and roof/ground feasibility.</li><li>Prepare site measurement reports and coordinate with the design team for layout finalization.</li><li>Verify bill of materials (BOM) and ensure material availability before execution.</li></ul>2. Installation &amp; Execution<ul><li>Supervise installation of modules, mounting structures, inverters, DC/AC cabling, earthing, and protections.</li><li>Ensure compliance with installation standards (MNRE, DISCOM, IEC guidelines).</li><li>Coordinate with contractors, technicians, and labor for smooth execution.</li><li>Monitor daily work progress and resolve on-site technical issues.</li></ul>3. Safety &amp; Quality Control<ul><li>Implement and enforce safety standards (PPE, electrical &amp; work-at-height safety).</li><li>Conduct quality inspections during each stage of installation.</li><li>Maintain documentation for quality checks and site compliance.</li></ul>4. Testing &amp; Commissioning<ul><li>Perform system testing: continuity, insulation resistance, inverter configuration, and system performance.</li><li>Commission the solar plant and hand it over to the client with proper documentation.</li></ul>5. Client Coordination &amp; Reporting<ul><li>Communicate with clients regarding site updates, timelines, and technical clarifications.</li><li>Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.</li><li>Assist in documentation for net metering, subsidy, and approvals if needed.</li></ul>6. Operations &amp; Maintenance (O&amp;M)<ul><li>Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to inverters, strings, cables, or system performance.</li><li>Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance as required.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>1&ndash;5 years of experience in solar rooftop/ground-mount installation (freshers may also be considered).</li></ul>Skills &amp; Competencies<ul><li>Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and electrical components.</li><li>Ability to read SLDs, layouts, and technical drawings.</li><li>Good understanding of safety and regulatory standards.</li><li>Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.</li><li>Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and basic monitoring platforms.</li></ul>Additional Requirements<ul><li>Willingness to travel to multiple sites.</li><li>Ability to work under outdoor conditions.</li><li>Should have a valid two/four-wheeler driving license (preferred).</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: &#8377;16,000.00 - &#8377;38,122.85 per monthBenefits:<ul><li>Cell phone reimbursement</li></ul>Work Location: In person
