<b>How you make a difference</b>:

The Psychiatrist provides a comprehensive range of psychiatric services to incarcerated patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health disorders. Additionally, the Psychiatrist provides clinical consultation to mental health and health care staff on identified cases, ensuring high-quality mental health care for inmates. Overall, the position requires a strong commitment to providing compassionate care, sound clinical judgment, and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.</div><br>

<b>Key Responsibilities</b>:
<ul><li>Provide psychiatric services to inmate patients, including evaluations, treatment, and monitoring of psychotropic medications in compliance with professional and company policies and procedures.</li><li>
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure uniformity of mental health services and documentation of psychiatric services.</li><li>
Provide supervision and oversight to psychiatric nurse (if applicable) and consultation/training services to mental health and medical staff.</li></ul><ul><li>
Participate in involuntary medication of high-risk inmates and provide documentation of psychiatric services contacts as requested.</li><li>
Exercise independent medical judgment in diagnosis and treatment of patients while adhering to approved medication formulary and notifying appropriate staff of clinical or administrative concerns.</li></ul><br>

Their expertise spans a wide range of HR functions, including compliance, employee relations, onboarding, policy interpretation, employment law, compensation, benefits, and professional development.</div><br>

Employee Relations &amp; Compliance: Serve as a key contact for employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations, ensuring fair policy administration and compliance with state, federal, and local laws. Conduct investigations, provide guidance on findings, and propose solutions.</div></li><li><div>
Manager &amp; Employee Support: Advise and coach managers on employee relations, including union environments, while collaborating with management to improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention. Partner with other HR functions to drive engagement and workforce planning.</div></li><li><div>
Training &amp; Development: Identify training and coaching needs, provide tailored solutions, and lead onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires. Conduct compliance training, including union-related policies and National Labor Relations Act requirements.</div></li><li><div>
Organizational &amp; Policy Strategy: Provide input on organizational structure, drive change management, and assist with handbook and policy revisions to align with regulatory updates. Ensure compliance across HR functions by reviewing and communicating legal changes.</div></li><li><div>
HR Initiatives &amp; Collaboration: Work with internal teams and HR centers of excellence (COEs) to implement HR programs and initiatives, such as employee engagement, succession planning, and union engagement. Interface with union negotiators and support broader HR strategies.</div></li></ul><br>
