<div>What You Will Do:
<ul>
<li>Assisting in the conceptualization, development, and execution of capital projects</li>
<li>Develop a detailed scope of work, budgets, and schedules</li>
<li>Assist in preparation of Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) requests</li>
<li>Assist with project construction, commissioning, and handover</li>
<li>Consult with supervisors, tradespeople, operators, and purchasers</li>
<li>Provide input into the design and optimization of equipment to maximize reliability and performance</li>
<li>Solicit contractors, vendors, and consultants</li>
<li>Conduct engineering reviews of project plans, drawings, materials, and installations</li>
<li>Ability to coordinate, facilitate and conduct internal and external project review meetings</li>
<li>Supervise trades and contractors for safety and quality</li>
<li>Act as a point of contact/liaison, provide technical support for consulting engineers, contractors, suppliers, and external agencies</li>
<li>Travel to all US Lumber facilities to provide technical support including troubleshooting, problem-solving, equipment assessments, and sharing of best practices and corporate standards</li>
<li>Study and Understand process flows, and equipment functionality</li>
<li>Handle a wide range of verbal, written, and presentation communications including progress report writing, presentations on project status to peers, managers, and mill employees</li>
<li>Provide auxiliary support to facilities for shutdowns, safety projects, and other duties as assigned</li>
<li>Understand and apply applicable external codes and standards and regulations (ie. OSHA, NFPA, Building Code, etc.)</li>
<li>Assist in the development of internal safety and project standards</li>
<li>Special projects and other duties as assigned.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications You Will Need:
<ul>
<li>Completion of a Mechanical Engineering Degree from an accredited institution is required</li>
<li>Excellent skills in all forms of communication</li>
<li>The ability to read Civil, Structural, and Mechanical Drawings is required</li>
<li>Proven interpersonal and leadership/supervisory skills including planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring of work activities to achieve project objectives</li>
<li>Strong computer skills with experience in MS Office, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Power BI are required</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving and project management skills are required</li>
<li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team</li>
<li>Self-starter with a desire to progress, learn, grow and succeed</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form with all levels of the organization</li>
<li>As a member of the engineering group, you will be expected to model/lead safety behavior, be positive and supportive of company goals and objectives, and value diversity.</li>

Corporate Project Mechanical Engineer

<div>We seek a highly motivated, experienced Controller to be based at our McDavid, FL Lumber mill. The Controller, reporting to the Mill Manager, and indirectly reports to the Regional Finance Accountant, is a key part of plant management providing analytical support for all financial decisions.
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">
Principal Responsibilities</h3>

Financial Reporting
<ul>
<li>Responsible for managing site month end close and reporting, all reconciliations and account analysis.</li>
<li>Responsible for ensuring site inventory counts are being performed and variances explained.</li>
<li>Responsible for completing weekly/monthly/annual forecasts for the site and corporate FP&amp;A.</li>
<li>Responsible for completing weekly cost &amp; other ad hoc analysis to assist the site in meeting its cost targets.</li>
</ul>
 Internal Controls
<ul>
<li>Responsible for adhering compliance with current internal controls</li>
<li>Support the General Manager in enforcing site and company policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Support internal and external testing as required</li>
</ul>
Process Management
<ul>
<li>Support West Fraser centralized or site accounts payable, payroll and fiber procurement and as needed, residuals processes.</li>
<li>Drive operational and finance process improvement at the mill</li>
</ul>
Candidate &ndash; Experience and Competencies

To be effective in this role, the candidate will possess the following experiences and competencies:
<ul>
<li>4-year degree, in Business, Accounting or Finance. CPA designation or working towards one preferred.</li>
<li>Related work experience of 3-5 years is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.</li>
<li>Flexible, detail-oriented, accurate, able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Results oriented</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Supervisory Experience preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to forge working relationships at all levels in an organization.</li>
<li>Experience with Sarbanes Oxley controls preferred.</li>
<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Experience with Oracle financial systems preferred and must be proficient in MS Office</li>
