 POSITION SUMMARY:&nbsp;
 
 
 
 
 Provides direct supervision of a group of children in a state licensed program. &nbsp;Provides a quality experience to children and parents focused on YMCA core values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.&nbsp;

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:&nbsp;
 
 
 
 
 Supervises a group of children.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Adheres to YMCA and state (Early Education &amp; Care, EEC) standards including safety and cleanliness.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Attends staff meetings and trainings.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Follows YMCA and EEC policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor team settings.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Ability to work as an efficient team member of the preschool team.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Performs other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 
 &nbsp;QUALIFICATIONS:&nbsp;
 
 
 
 
 Previous experience working with children. &nbsp;
 
 
 
 At least 18 years of age preferred.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Child CPR, First Aid, AED certifications within 30 days of hire date.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 EEC trainings within 30 days of hire date.&nbsp;
 
 
 
 Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.&nbsp;
