PURPOSE STATEMENT
The Sleep Technologist Supervisor is a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT). The Sleep Technologist Supervisor promotes and delivers competent, quality care, and is highly experienced in all aspects of Sleep Center operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:<ul><li>
Responsible for performing daytime sleep testing and EEGs.</li><li>
Responsible for assisting with scoring sleep studies.</li><li>
Maintain competent performance in all aspects of sleep study acquisition, scoring, and treatment modalities.</li><li>
Assist with daily operations of the Sleep Center.</li><li>
Adhere to all Sleep Center policies/procedures.</li><li>
Practice in accordance to normal sleep center practice, regulatory agencies, and the patient&rsquo;s plan of care/condition/needs.</li><li>
Involved in QA/QI projects as requested.</li><li>
Use inventory of supplies judiciously.</li><li>
Adhere to equipment cleaning protocols.</li><li>
Assist in the evaluation of capital budget item supplies.</li><li>
Model the ASPIRE values.</li><li>
Proficient in the use of AIDET.</li><li>
Assist co-workers as needed/requested.</li><li>
Support the Medical Center&rsquo;s Mission/Vision/Philosophy positively.</li><li>
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.</li><li>
Perform other essential duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Must be a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with appropriate credentials from the BRPT, NBRC, or ABSM.</li><li>
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS required.</li><li>
A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a registered Sleep Technologist is required.</li><li>
Experience scoring sleep studies required.</li><li>
Experience working in a Sleep Clinic setting is required.</li><li>
Experience performing routine EEGs preferred, but not required.</li><li>
Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.</li></ul>
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
Must be able to sit and stand, intermittent 8 to 10 hours a day.</li><li>
Must be able to use standard office equipment, including the telephone and computer keyboard.</li><li>
Continuously works under pressure of near 100% accuracy while meeting inflexible deadlines.</li><li>
Continuously utilizes manual/bi-manual dexterity, near vision, speech, and hearing.</li><li>
Frequently stands, walks, sits and utilizes eye/hand coordination and color definition.</li><li>
Occasionally reaches above shoulder, regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.</li><li>
Occasionally walks on uneven surfaces.</li></ul></div>
