<p>Western NC Community Health Services (WNCCHS) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). We are committed to caring for our patients with purpose and integrity and providing our team members with the support they need.</p>
<p>We are looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant. We recognize the hard work and initiative of our Medical Assistants (MAs). MAs providing direct patient care may earn a quarterly bonus up to $500 by meeting or exceeding quality and productivity measures.</p>
<p>We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to work (3) days per week: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for (8) hours per day.</p>
<p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p>
<ul><li>Perform clinical duties under the direction of a physician, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse</li>
<li>Perform phlebotomy, and process specimens for patients of all ages</li>
<li>Set up medical examination rooms, prepare and administer medications and vaccines</li>
<li>Obtain vital signs and patient information</li>
<li>Obtain EKG&rsquo;s, assist with wound care and minor surgical procedures e.g., removal of benign cyst</li>
<li>Serve as a preceptor for new staff</li>
<li>Assist in administrative duties as needed, including handling calls</li>
</ul>
<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:</b></p>
<ul><li>Current certification as a Medical Assistant - <i>highly desirable</i>.</li>
<li>One (1) year as medical assistant in an outpatient health care setting</li>
<li>Postsecondary technical course(s) helpful, but not required</li>
<li>Medical Assisting education strongly preferred</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs and Electronic Health Records systems.</li>

</div><div>We are seeking a part-time <b>Dental</b> <b>Assistant</b> to join our team. The position is for 27 hours weekly: 3 weekdays for 9 hours per day.</div>
<div></div><div>The Dental Assistant will be based at our:</div>
<div><b>Minnie Jones Health Center (MJHC)</b></div>

The ideal candidate will have dental assisting experience with x-ray certification; fluent in Spanish, Russian and/or Ukrainian highly preferred, but not required.</div>

</li></ul><div><b>RESPONSIBILITIES-</b></div>
<div><br>
1. Prepare the operatories for delivery of dental treatment.<br>
2. Assist the dentist with all dental procedures (this includes but is not limited to taking alginate impressions, suctioning patients during procedures, handing instruments and supplies to the dentist, constructing, and cementing temporary crowns, packing gingival retraction cord, etc.).</div>
<div>3. Take dental and medical history and perform accurate dental charting.<br>
4. Take and develop dental radiographs of diagnostic quality.<br>
5. Pour and trim clinically acceptable models.<br>
6. Disinfect and sterilize all instruments, equipment, and surfaces between patients.<br>
7. Open and maintain patient files in good order.<br>
8. Take and triage patient telephone calls.<br>
9. Perform preventive maintenance procedures on equipment and instrumentation.<br>
10. Maintain the dental supplies inventory.<br>
11. Maintain a clean, orderly, and aseptic clinical environment.<br>
12. Maintain log of ordered dental prosthetics.<br>
13. Participate in quality management activities.<br>
14. Occasionally, the supervisor may assign other appropriate duties and responsibilities.<br>
15. Provide patients with instruction for oral care following dental treatments.</div>
<div></div><div>Hourly rate depends on experience level and certification:</div>
<div>On-the-Job Training (no prior experience) $18.50 to $19.00<br>
Experienced Dental Assistant $19.00 to $20.30<br>
Experienced and Certified Dental Assistant $20.30 to $24.30</div>
<div></div><div><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></div>
<ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Six months of Dental Assisting experience</li>
<li>X-ray certification, required</li>
<li>Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs to produce correspondence, documents, presentations, records, and spreadsheets.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Expert knowledge of medical office operations, preferred</li>
<li>Familiarity with role of FQHCs in the community, preferred</li>
