Sales and Estimator

This individual will cultivate new business relationships, maintain existing accounts, and ensure the fulfillment of established sales goals through estimating and bidding fire protection projects. Embrace a consultative selling technique that includes the ability to analyze client needs, communicate appropriate solutions, and facilitate sales to closure.

Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Review construction project plans, requirements, drawings, and specifications</li>
<li>Prepare cost estimates and determine project constructability</li>
<li>Secure plans and designs for developing pricing and proposals, acquire subcontract pricing, and comply with codes and permits</li>
<li>Maintain contact with subcontractors of various trades and work to expand list of qualified subcontractors</li>
<li>Establish contact with prospects and potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing outlined marketing strategies</li>
<li>Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction</li>
<li>Define customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company offerings</li>
<li>Close sufficient sales to meet sales plan objectives</li>
<li>Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog</li>
<li>Maintain historical record of all sales and bidding documents/stats</li>
<li>Provide input to improve company-wide business processes and systems</li>
<li>Submit all required sales reports, data, expenses, and correspondence in an accurate and timely manner</li>
<li>Conduct coordination with other departments to ensure proper handover of job information</li>
<li>Conduct Project Manager functions as required and designated</li>
<li>Complete additional projects as developed and assigned by your supervisor or management</li>
</ul>
Job Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Experience in commercial, residential and industrial areas of fire protection industry is preferred</li>
<li>Proven strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Self-starter with ability to use independent judgment</li>
<li>Understanding of fire protection systems and components</li>
<li>Understanding of materials used in fire protection construction</li>
<li>Willing to coordinate with other departments in the company, with owners and General Contractors</li>
<li>Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check</li>

Requirements:
<ul>
<li>Sales experience a must</li>
<li>Sales experience related to the fire and life safety industry and/or building services and maintenance is a plus.</li>
<li>Strong oral and written communications are a must.</li>
<li>Willing to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), and the general public.</li>
<li>Business development and/or marketing experience is a plus.</li>
<li>Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).</li>
<li>Possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license, in accordance with Company policy.</li>
<li>Willing to pass a post-offer drug screen, background, and reference check</li>

Responsibilities:

<li>Establish contact with potential qualified buyers of inspection services by diligently scheduling sales calls, following up on leads quickly after they&rsquo;re identified, and helping to execute outlined marketing strategies.</li>
<li>Determine customer needs by conducting site surveys and reviewing your findings with the appropriate customer personnel.</li>
<li>Prepare and present effective proposals that offer solutions to customer life safety needs.</li>
<li>Contribute to the pricing approach of inspection accounts.</li>
<li>Maintain and report Mainline Fire Protection sales business plan and attend monthly sales call.</li>
<li>Holds responsibility for understanding assigned market and reporting business dynamics (market share, competition, top customers, top prospects, etc.) of assigned geographic area.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain an active proposal pipeline to support the established sales business plan.</li>
<li>Develop caring and enduring customer relationships that meet and exceed the expectations of our customers.</li>
<li>Support other Mainline Fire Protection and APi Group teams in their initiatives as they relate to your territory.</li>

Monitoring Sales

This position is responsible for generating new fire alarm monitoring accounts by identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate monitoring solutions, and managing the sales process from initial contact through account activation.
The salary range for this position is $65,000-$72,000 base with incentives.

Job Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Build and maintain customer relationships</li>
<li>Understands requirements of the customer and provides solutions</li>
<li>Developing sales leads to establishing new customers and working with the existing customer base. Build relationships with property management, facility directors, electrical/fire alarm contractors, and AHJs to generate referrals and repeatable pipeline.</li>
<li>Responsible for proposing a full range of Alarm Monitoring Systems and monthly monitoring services</li>
<li>Support the company goals through the achievement of the assigned sales booking plan</li>
<li>Perform site walk-through as needed</li>
<li>Coordinate from start to finish including account set ups, initiating contracts and coordinating with field team for conversions</li>
<li>Foster team spirit with other staff to deliver above the bar customer value providing the best solutions for our clients&rsquo; needs</li>
</ul>
Job Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Minimum 2 years&rsquo; experience as successful Commercial Sales Representative demonstrated by the consistent ability to develop business and exceed quota</li>
<li>Ability to interpret basic fire alarm documentation</li>
<li>Familiarity with NFPA 72, fire alarm monitoring systems, products and services is a plus.</li>
<li>Ability to explain monitoring options clearly to non-technical stakeholders</li>
<li>Effective listening and questioning skills, strong verbal/written communication and outstanding presentation skills are required</li>
<li>Successful, proven business development track record</li>
<li>Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other applications</li>
<li>Willing to pass a post-offer drug test, background and reference check</li>
</ul>
