SUMMARY:</b>
</p><p>The Safety Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the <b><i>safety and security</i></b> of all clients, staff, and the property at a homeless shelter. Operations within our facility are <b>24 hours.</b> This is a relief position that requires <b>face-to-face relief</b> with <b>mandated overtime</b>. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor and Security Manager.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><div><ul><li>
Perform daily inspections of all clients&rsquo; rooms</li><li>
Escort clients to appointments as needed</li><li>
Interact with and monitor clients' behavior, maintaining a good rapport by providing excellent customer service. Encourage clients to comply with the facility's policies and procedures.</li><li>
Control access at the main entrance by screening all clients and visitors with a magnetometer or x-ray machine to detect and prevent weapons from entering the site.
</li><li>Perform Crisis Intervention to de-escalate potential crises and document all such situations and interventions.</li><li>
Make hourly rounds throughout the entire facility, including all hallways, stairwells, floors, bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchen, and office spaces.</li><li>
Respond to incidents</li><li>
Assist with client intakes</li><li>
Perform daily pack-ups and logging of client property belonging to AWOL clients</li><li>
Store and remove client property once the mandated storage time has expired</li><li>
Maintain a clean and organized storage area</li><li>
Complete logs, incident reports, and all other required documentation.</li><li>
Make calls to police, fire department, and other first responders as directed.</li><li>
Perform administrative and receptionist duties at the operations desk; monitor video surveillance cameras, and the fire prevention/detection alarm notification system.</li><li>
Provide duties related to fire incidents, evacuation of the building when necessary, and utilizing Fire procedures.</li><li>
Ensure the safety and security of all assigned equipment.</li><li><b>
Mandated overtime</b></li><li>
Perform other tasks as assigned.</li></ul></div><p></p><p><b><br>
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p>
High school diploma or GED. Prior security experience required. <b>Must have NYS Security Guard License and current 8-Hour Annual Certificate. Fire Guard License for Shelters preferred F02. </b>Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. <b>Certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) preferred.</b> Must be able to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime if necessary.</p><p></p><p><b><br>

SUMMARY:</b></p><p>
The Case Manager Supervisor/Senior Case Manager will provide day-to-day supervision to the case management team in a men&rsquo;s homeless shelter. He/She will need to work collaboratively with other on-site departments to develop effective problem-solving methods and align strategies.</p><p><b>
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>
Manages intake and develops a comprehensive assessment for all new participants.</li><li>
Develops systems to guarantee the quality and efficiency of casework services.</li><li>
Ensures that staff appropriately identify clients' needs, provide appropriate referrals, and ensure case managers follow up with resources to promote the program participant&rsquo;s achievement of the service plan goals.</li><li>
Ensures assessments, service plans, and client interactions are appropriately documented.</li><li>
Reviews all required case management documentation and any data collection tool in use.</li><li>
Responsible for the supervision of service staff.</li><li>
Ensures clear, concise, and professional interventions consistent with the Agency&rsquo;s policies and procedures and evidence-based practices.</li><li>
Responsible for building collaboration with community service providers.</li><li>
Maintains all required documentation/reports and submits all promptly.</li><li>
Provides crisis intervention and stabilization as needed<b>.</b></li><li>
Identifies program needs and makes recommendations.</li><li>
Performs related tasks as assigned.</li></ul><p>
 <b>EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:</b></p><p>
Proof of Education required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable. Ability to work some evenings and occasional weekends as needed. Excellent and demonstrated writing ability. Strong assessment, direct practice, counseling, supervision, community outreach, group leadership, and program development experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and database management skills. Experience with CARES and DHS protocols.</p><p>
