SALARY: $19.65 hourly 
 
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for ensuring the Safety and Security of all client&rsquo;s, staff, and the property around the facility. This position reports to the Program Director. 
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>
Interact with and monitor client&rsquo;s behavior and maintain good rapport by providing excellent customer service. Encourage clients to comply with facility policy and procedures.</li><li>
Control access at the main entrance by screening all clients, and visitors to detect and prevent weapons from entering the site.
</li><li>Perform Crisis Intervene to de-escalate potential crisis situations and document all such situations and interventions.</li><li>
Make hourly rounds throughout the entire facility including all hallways, stairwells, floors, bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchen, and office spaces.</li><li>
Complete logs, incident reports and all other required documentation.</li><li>
Make calls to police, fire department and other first responders as directed.</li><li>
Perform administrative and receptionist duties at the operations desk; monitor video surveillance cameras, and fire prevention / detection alarm notification system.</li><li>
Provide duties related to fire incidents, evacuation of the building when necessary, utilizing Fire procedure.</li><li>
Ensure the safety and security of all assigned equipment.</li><li>
Perform other tasks as assigned.</li></ul> 
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED and prior security experience required. Must have NYS Security Guard License, and current 8 Hour Annual Certificate. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. Certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) preferred. Must be able to work Monday thru Fridays with an occasional late night/ overtime if necessary.

DEPARTMENT: Emergency Housing Apartment Program (EHAP)
FLSA: Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Yonkers, NY
REPORTS TO: Service Coordinator
SALARY: $38000.00 -$42000.00 Annual 
SUMMARY: Westhab seeks a program assistant to support the operation of the Emergency Housing Apartment program (EHAP). 
DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages, tracks, and reports facility census.
Ensures accessibility to program staff by continuous knowledge of their whereabouts.&bull;
Maintains demographic and other needed information regarding residents for use in census management and statistical reporting through ClientTrack HMIS and other databases.
Greets all residents and visitors reporting to administration and directs them appropriately.
Maintains accurate records, prepares reports and facilitates the flow of necessary paperwork throughout the facility.
Ensures all correspondence is handled appropriately.
Assists with ordering office supplies and maintaining office inventory.
Provides administrative support to facilities staff as directed.
Coordinates donation deliveries and maintains donation &ldquo;wish list&rdquo; of needed items
Performs administrative duties such as typing reports, letters, memos, and flyers.
Handles phones, faxes, copies, scans, and reservations for meeting rooms.
Ensure the office bulletin boards are updated with employment/training opportunities and apartment listings on a weekly basis
Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Associates degree preferred and at least 2 years&rsquo; experience in customer service or clerical related position. Must have strong word processing skills; ability to learn new databases with ease; excellent oral and written communication; pleasant disposition; good customer service skills. Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
