The focus of this position is strategy and coordination.</b> A proposal manager works directly with pursuit managers and business development staff throughout most of the pursuit life cycle, from pre-marketing to final selection. The proposal manager will work with a team of proposal coordinators to create compliant winning proposals. This role includes participating in Go/No Go decisions, supporting pursuit managers with developing client-centric content that effectively communicates our team&rsquo;s value proposition, effective coordination of proposal production, and quality control. <b>This position requires exceptional strategic thinking, effective time-management, planning, organization, and coordination skills. Interpersonal, coaching, and delegation skills will also be important for the successful performance on this role.</b></div><div></div><div><b><br>
The ideal candidate for this role will be active and engaged in national BD+M organizations such as SMPS and APMP, have strong networking abilities and be on the cutting edge of the proposal development process.</b></div><div><br>

</b></div>Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Support pursuit managers on pre-marketing efforts and participates in the go/no go process</li><li>
Collaborate with pursuit managers in strategic planning that includes evaluating pre-marketing intelligence, identifying customer concerns, and key issues, and developing win strategies</li><li>
Be versed in division strategic and business plans</li><li>
Coordinate the production of compliant proposals, following the proposal management process</li><li>
Coordinate with technical staff and sub-consultants to develop proposal content and information</li><li>
Coordinate with graphic designers to develop graphic elements for the proposals or presentations</li><li>
Analyze debriefs and apply lessons learned to add value to strategy and reviews</li><li>
Facilitate proposal production planning meetings</li><li>
Coordinate presentation production</li><li>
Participate in presentation practices and assist during rehearsals</li><li>
Ensure quality of all produced material including messages, consistency, spelling, and grammar
</li><li>Proactively lead the update effort of resumes, project descriptions, project photos, and additional boilerplate material</li><li>
Responsible for page-turned quality control</li><li>
Assist coaching proposal coordinators and proposal coordinator assistants into WGI&rsquo;s proposal production process</li><li>
Leverage AI and work with our Innovation team to develop tools and processes that optimize the proposal development process</li><li>
Lead and coordinate the division&rsquo;s annual BD+M training and development program and coordinate with the enterprise, where appropriate</li></ul>
Qualifications:
<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferably in English, Communications, Journalism, or Marketing</li><li>
Minimum 10 years of experience in the A/E/C industry preparing proposals for federal, state, and municipal clients</li><li>
Must have the ability to work well with others (e.g., supervisor, department managers, project managers, proposal coordinators, and anyone involved in business development efforts)</li><li>
Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment</li><li>
Strategic thinking, message development, and problem-solving</li><li>
Thorough understanding of effective proposal and presentation best practices and tools, including how to convey messages, themes, differentiators, and responses to evaluation criteria clearly and effectively</li><li>
Strong proposal writing and editing skills, including grammar and style</li><li>
Very strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>
Ability to work and coordinate efforts across the firm's geographic reach</li><li>
Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills</li><li>
Work ownership, accountability, a positive &ldquo;can-do&rdquo; attitude, and eagerness to learn and contribute to the team</li><li>
Assertive, resourceful, problem solver</li><li>

Intermediate/Advanced skills in Adobe software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat)</li><li>
Intermediate/Advanced skills in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams)</li><li>
Experience with strategic initiatives and coaching staff</li></ul><p><i>
