Demand PlannerWhippany Actuation Systems, a fast-paced and innovative aerospace manufacturer specializing in electromechanical actuators for both commercial and military applications, is seeking a data-driven Demand Planner to work in concert with purchasing, production, and sales departments to meet on time delivery demands of customers. In this role, you will analyze, schedule, expedite and monitor materials required for production and special projects. You will participate in capacity reviews, inventory planning, make recommendations and communicate changes in schedules.In this role, you would typically:&sect; Lead the Sales &amp; Operations Planning (S&amp;OP) process, drive the improvement agenda.&sect; Develop monthly Production Plan based on Demand input and Capacity situation.&sect; Establish and maintain a weekly master production schedule to support Production Plan&sect; Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure feasible, aligned operational plans.&sect; Help define and maintain S&amp;OP KPIs and metrics to support continuous improvement.&sect; Distribute work orders and assist department personnel in obtaining items (drawings, parts, etc.) necessary to complete job operations and job material transactions.&sect; Participate in cross-functional team meetings to support business initiatives, adjust plans accordingly and communicate supply chain issues and recommendations for resolution.&sect; Review and maintain master data for legacy and new products for proper planning.&sect; Communicate shortages to appropriate departments and make recommendations.&sect; Manage running action and issues list, drive issues to closure on a timely basis.We require:&sect; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field&sect; 5 years&rsquo; experience as a material planner in a manufacturing environment&sect; Experience leading a Sales &amp; Operations Planning process&sect; Ability to travel up to 15%&sect; Authorization to work in the U.S.Eligibility Requirements:This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Whippany Actuation Systems will require proof of status before employment.We would really like to see:&sect; Graduate level degree in Supply Chain or MBA&sect; ASCM/APICS certification (CPIM and/or CSCP designation)&sect; Aerospace &amp;Defense industry experience&sect; Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills&sect; Lean Six Sigma training and/or certification a plus&sect; Computer literate with MS Office and ERP experienceCompensation and Benefits: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $75,000 to $115,000 per year. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
