Job Summary: The Weld Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality and integrity of welds in the frames department through meticulous visual inspections and reporting. This role involves collaboration with various departments to address quality concerns, manage audits, and maintain equipment, all while adhering to the Quality Control Program.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Conduct 100% visual inspection of welds in the frames department.</li><li>
Report quality deficiencies in final parts directly to the Quality Team Lead.</li><li>
Track quality deficiencies per weld.</li><li>
Report mistakes or welding issues directly to the QC Manager and track daily information.</li><li>
Ensure supervisors and employees understand and adhere to the Quality Control Program.</li><li>
Receive instructions from the QC Manager regarding project-specific inspections and tests and perform those tasks.</li><li>
Collaborate with departments regarding quality concerns.</li><li>
Monitor shop activities to ensure conformance with applicable building codes, standards, policies, procedures, and drawing specifications.</li><li>
Manage and conduct audits in the processing department.</li><li>
Review and assist in product complaint investigations, supporting supervisors with these investigations.</li><li>
Perform inspections on projects requiring expertise and knowledge under the direct supervision of the Quality Control Manager</li><li>
Maintain equipment operation and calibration.</li></ul>

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:<ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent.</li><li>
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a weld inspector preferred, but not required.</li><li>
Understanding of UTSW with classroom experience.</li><li>
Ability to multi-task in a manufacturing environment to meet production demands.</li><li>
Experience with evaluation related to quality and code issues.</li><li>
Proficient in the use of inspection tools and measuring equipment such as tape measures, squares, and micrometers.</li><li>
Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints.</li><li>
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.</li></ul></div>

Job Summary: A Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various types of machinery to produce pieces or perform specific tasks according to established procedures and quality standards. The Machine Operator ensures the equipment's safe and efficient operation and troubleshoots issues as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Operate and control machinery as per standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.</li><li>
Set up machines before production, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and ensuring the proper calibration of equipment.</li><li>
Monitor the output for quality and consistency, performing inspections, and making necessary adjustments to maintain product specifications.</li><li>
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety issues to the supervisor.</li><li>
Maintain records of production output, machine settings, and machine activities. Complete production logs as required.</li><li>
Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure smooth production and resolve any issues that may arise during the process.</li><li>
Strive to maximize machine productivity and minimize downtime by optimizing machine setting and operational procedures.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with regulations, safety standards, and company policies at all times.</li><li>
Must be able to meet or exceed daily production goals.</li></ul>

Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to follow them rigorously.</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Machine Operators may be required to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. They should be able to handle heavy machinery and work in various environmental conditions.</li></ul></div>
