Whitman, Requardt &amp; Associates, LLP (WRA) is seeking a qualified Resident Construction Manager for sanitary sewer pumping station facility construction projects in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The RCM is responsible for providing daily construction management and inspection services for pumping station facilities including new construction and rehabilitation or upgrades including mechanical, electrical and pump control systems and related yard piping and civil site improvements.
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Performing full time, on-site construction management and supervision of multi-disciplined inspection personnel and daily inspection documentation to monitor the contractor's work for compliance with the contract documents</li><li>
Reviewing daily reports and preparing weekly status reports on work accomplished by Contractor(s)</li><li>
Coordinating and observing materials testing and maintaining testing logs</li><li>
Reviewing Contractor pay estimates for accuracy</li><li>
Preparing sketches and assembling data for Owner or Engineer's use in making changes to the project</li><li>
Keeping diaries and making reports on work accomplished and/or noted deficiencies</li><li>
Communicating with the Engineer, Owner and Operations Personnel on a regular basis, keeping them apprised of field conditions, changes and maintaining effective communications and rapport with the Facility Owner and the entire construction project team throughout the construction phase</li></ul>
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Must have a minimum of 15 years of demonstrated experience as a Resident Construction Manager on sanitary sewer pumping stations (100+ MGD) with construction value ($50M- $100M range)</li><li>
Must have an Associates Degree in Construction Management or Civil/Environmental Engineering; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree (BSCE) preferred</li><li>
Must have a proven track record of successfully completing construction assignments on-time and within budget</li><li>
Familiarity w/ Primavera P6 or Microsoft construction scheduling software</li><li>
Familiarity with construction management software including Oracle Unifier, e-Builder or Procore.</li><li>
OSHA safety training and/or certification 30-Hour, preferred</li><li>
Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and pump control systems</li><li>
Sediment &amp; erosion control certification</li><li>
Material testing certifications desirable including WACEL or MARCTP</li><li>
Certified Construction Manager (CCM)</li><li>
Certified Construction Quality Manager (CQM)</li><li>
Proficiency with MS Windows, Project, Word and Excel</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal communication</li><li>
Clean driving record and background check</li></ul>
Physical Requirements (Essential Functions):
This position requires the ability to perform a variety of physical tasks in the field as part of the essential job functions. Duties may include:<ul><li>
Walking and navigating across rough or uneven terrain such as mud, rocks, grass, dirt, steep hillsides, heavily wooded areas, and other unpaved surfaces</li><li>
Moving around active project sites, which may involve climbing ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, or poles</li><li>
Performing physical activities such as bending, twisting, kneeling, and climbing</li><li>
Remaining in a stationary position&mdash;either standing or sitting&mdash;for extended periods of time</li><li>
Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers</li><li>
Lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and/or carting objects up to 50 lbs distances up to 50 yards.</li><li>
Driving to and from project sites which may involve distances of up to or exceeding 75 miles round trip.</li><li>
Must be able to function safely in an environment with potential risks, including, but not limited to those described in this document.</li></ul>
The work environment may include exposure to a range of environmental conditions, including high and low temperatures, precipitation, and other outdoor elements. Work may also be performed in noisy conditions or confined/enclosed spaces.
Must be willing to work nights and overtime, when required by the project assignment

The expected annual compensation range for this position is $105,00.000 - $125,000.00, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. We are seeking a focused, motivated Engineer or Architect, with 5-10 years of relevant experience, to join the firm&rsquo;s Protective Design Group. This individual will work as part of a design team to integrate protective design criteria and security components into our projects to meet our clients&rsquo; specific goals. Includes a wide range of protective design solutions (AT/FP, perimeter security, vehicle entry control points, blast/ballistic resistance, electronic security systems, etc.) in support of a varied client base.
Responsibilities<ul><li>
Review security/protective design criteria, codes and standards.</li><li>
Develop security/protective design strategies in planning studies and design projects.</li><li>
Interface with client security personnel to review and refine design strategies.</li><li>
Coordinate between in-house design disciplines as part of a design team.</li><li>
Create construction documents (drawings and specifications) that comply with project criteria.</li></ul>
Required Qualifications:<ul><li>
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or BS/BArch in Architecture</li><li>
5-10 years of relevant experience with security criteria (Department of Defense, Inter-agency Security Committee, etc.)</li><li>
5-10 years of relevant experience with concept studies, design documents, and construction phase services</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products</li><li>
U.S. Citizenship</li><li>
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance</li><li>
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>
Licensed Professional Engineer or Architect</li><li>
Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD)</li><li>
ASIS Protective Design Professional (PSP) certification</li></ul>
