Job Title: In-School STEM Lead TeacherJob Type: Part-TimeLocation: Baltimore County Public Schools (Elementary)Schedule:<ul><li>In-school</li><li>One Week a Month (Tues-Fri)</li><li>Tues-Thurs - 8:45-11:45 and 12:45-3:45</li><li>Friday Hours (once a month) 8:45-12:15</li></ul>About Us: Whiz Kid Academy is committed to providing engaging and innovative in-school programs that inspire young learners. We specialize in hands-on STEM education, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.Position Overview: We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic Assistant Teachers to conduct one-hour in-school classes for elementary-aged students. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about education and making a difference in students&rsquo; lives.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student participation.</li><li>Manage classroom behavior and ensure student safety during sessions.</li><li>Set up and break down classroom materials and equipment before and after classes. (this adds an additional 30 minutes per day)</li><li>Communicate effectively with school leadership, parents, students, and Whiz Kid Academy staff as needed.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience working with children in an educational setting (teaching, tutoring, coaching, etc.).</li><li>Strong communication and classroom management skills.</li><li>Passion for STEM education and working with young learners.</li><li>Availability to work consistently within the required schedule.</li><li>Reliable transportation to and from program sites.</li></ul>Preferred:<ul><li>Prior teaching or childcare experience.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (or working toward one) in Education, STEM fields, or a related area.</li></ul>Compensation:<ul><li>Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, including standing, sitting, lifting up to 15 pounds (supplies/materials), and interacting with students and staff.Work Environment:Primarily, it will be a classroom and school environment, with occasional extracurricular and community events involvement.Transportation RequirementYou must have a personal car/vehicle for this role.Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hourExpected hours: 4-6 Hours a WeekWork Location: In personJob Type: ContractPay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hourWork Location: In person
