 Senior Design Researcher
 
 at WHOOP Labs Doha to conduct research that supports WHOOP&rsquo;s product innovation efforts. The Doha lab will partner with the WHOOP Labs Boston team to conduct mixed-methods research to support user experience, industrial design, and consumer research studies. To serve the company&rsquo;s diverse testing and validation needs, WHOOP Labs completes tens of thousands of data collections a year and creates best in class experience for our participants. WHOOP Labs Doha will set the bar for product innovation research in the GCC, providing a best-in-class participant experience and contributing to advancing WHOOP technology.
 
 
 We&rsquo;re looking for a collaborative Senior Design Researcher with experience working across teams and geographies to deliver thoughtful, high-quality research insights. You&rsquo;re excited to engage directly with our members, work independently, and are comfortable advocating for design research best practices.
 
 This position is in-person in Doha, Qatar with potential travel to Boston, MA 1-2 times per year.

 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Localize and execute complex research initiatives as part of multi-site data collection efforts to gather global design and product feedback.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate closely with the WHOOP Labs Boston team to plan, execute, and analyze global design studies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support localization of protocols for execution in Doha including any required changes to activities, session structure, or sample in collaboration with cross-site partners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Own research initiatives to support region-specific questions and remote global studies as a design research expert.
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and maintain clear research plans, workflows, and deliverables, adapting to evolving priorities and constraints.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate and own research timelines and dependencies using project management tools to ensure visibility and on-time delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Collaborate closely with other members of the WHOOP Labs Doha team such as Recruitment, Lab Management, and other Researchers to ensure successful end-to-end study delivery.
 </li>
 <li>
 Deliver best-in-class customer service to WHOOP Labs Doha visitors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicate research updates and findings clearly, translating complex insights into recommendations that inform decision-making.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support quantitative research requests from adjacent stakeholders that focus on understanding user behavior at scale, as needed.

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or professional experience in a relevant field such as user experience research, human factors, psychology, or a related discipline.
 </li>
 <li>
 3-5 years of experience conducting research in product, design, marketing, or similar environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience applying mixed-methods research relevant to software product development and data collections related to hardware.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong project and program management skills, with comfort using tools such as Jira or similar planning frameworks.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage multiple research initiatives at a time and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excitement to work in a high-energy, fast-paced startup environment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Open to working a flexible schedule, including evenings at least 2 days per week.
 </li>
 <li>
 Fluency in verbal and written English, WHOOP&rsquo;s working language.

 Own the development and execution of the WHOOP Labs Doha opening strategy, including team hiring, participant compensation structure, and setting operating hours

 Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>

 Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in a field related to human subjects research such as psychology, neuroscience, exercise physiology, or consumer science
 </li>
 <li>
 5+ years of full-time professional experience in a related area
 </li>
 <li>
 2+ years of success leading a diversely skilled team
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience working on a distributed international team preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Deep knowledge of local culture and ability to thoughtfully communicate localization considerations for research at WHOOP Labs Doha
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of best practices regarding human subjects research, including how to obtain IRB approval for new research projects; research ethics, data privacy, and consent
