 Contribute to the development and maintenance of backend services and APIs that power WHOOP&rsquo;s member-facing features using technologies such as Java, Kafka, Postgres, and AWS.

 Collaborate with cross-functional partners across Product, Design, Data Science, and Engineering to translate requirements into well-scoped technical solutions.

 Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while participating in code reviews to continuously improve engineering quality and standards.

 Qualifications

 Professional experience in backend software development (internship, co-op, or academic project experience acceptable).

 Experience building or interacting with RESTful APIs and relational databases (e.g., Postgres or similar SQL-based systems).
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language such as Java, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new backend technologies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and standard development workflows.
 </li>
 <li>
 Understanding of fundamental computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and system design basics.
 </li>
 <li>
 Interest in distributed systems, event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka or similar technologies), and cloud platforms such as AWS.

 The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000 - 145,000. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training.
 
 
 
 
 In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.
 
 
 
 
 These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs.  WHOOP is expanding globally and launching a new site in Doha, inclusive of an office, WHOOP Labs facility, and retail presence. WHOOP is seeking a System Administrator to serve as the primary IT partner onsite, ensuring a seamless, secure, and scalable technology experience for employees and guests. This role will directly enable productivity, safeguard critical systems, and help build the technical foundation that supports WHOOP growth in the region while contributing to global IT initiatives.
 
 
 
 Responsibilities

 Serve as the primary IT partner to Doha site leadership, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology operations across office, lab, and retail environments
 </li>

 Deliver high-quality employee and guest IT support, removing friction and enabling productivity through responsive service and root-cause problem solving
 </li>
 <li>
 Administer and optimize core IT systems including endpoint management, identity and access management, SaaS applications, network infrastructure, and AV/conferencing solutions

 Strengthen corporate security posture by implementing best practices, managing device compliance, supporting audits, and proactively mitigating risk

 Design and implement automation, self-service tooling, and process improvements to reduce manual work and eliminate recurring issues

 Experience administering cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP) and modern SaaS ecosystems

System Administrator, Doha

 Reporting to the AVP, Global Sales, the GCC Senior Sales Manager will lead wholesale partnerships &amp; expansion for the GCC region, and will be responsible for all processes related to successfully onboarding &amp; managing brick &amp; mortar retailers, marketplaces, and distributors.

 Align with global stakeholders on a multi-year retailer pipeline for the GCC Region across various industries, including but not limited to technology, sporting goods, and marketplaces, by analyzing retail market trends and conducting in-depth retailer diligence.
