<div>The Consumable Buyer / Planner reports to the Purchasing Manager and provides full support to the Materials and Assembly Departments, including the planning and procurement of consumable items in a timely manner while ensuring vendor requirements and customer needs are met. The Consumable Buyer / Planner position will work directly with Materials, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to satisfy requirements needed within each department. 
 
Roles &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Create and implement an effective planning and sourcing strategy for assigned products / programs to minimize unnecessary inventory, maximize cash flow, and ensure the production lines are always sufficiently supplied.</li><li>
Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to include standard terms and conditions as well as complex customer flow downs.</li><li>
Ensure the purchase of all goods and services comply with company policy and procedures and are in full compliance with all ITAR regulations.</li><li>
Maintain accurate item master data lead times, batch size, safety stock target, to ensure 100% system data accuracy at all times.</li><li>
Assess material requirements and analyze price and supply data to make business decisions to maximize cashflow.</li><li>
Manage consumable inventory levels and order per approved budget.</li><li>
Create requisitions for all items and materials required that are outside of the approved consumable budget.</li><li>
Issue Purchase Orders for materials and services, usually with established vendors.</li><li>
Issue consumable parts to Assembly and Engineering departments via parts requests.</li><li>
Manage SDS sheets and labels on products consumed in the assembly areas.</li><li>
Assure that open purchase orders are tracked, followed up on and expedited as needed, communicate status.</li><li>
Coordinate the flow of materials from goods receipt to assembly floor.</li><li>
Process purchased parts rejected through Material Review Board (MRB) or the requisitioner for immediate replacement /credit as deemed necessary.</li><li>
Assist Accounts Payable and Receiving departments with reconciling packing slip discrepancies including part or quantity issues.</li><li>
Assist the Quality Dept. with upkeep and additions to the ASL.</li><li>
Assist with creating and renewing Wilcox / Supplier Non-Disclosure Agreements.</li><li>
Reviews safety procedures and follows them, making suggested improvements.</li><li>
Promotes safety awareness.</li><li>
Seeks opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.</li><li>
Uses PPE appropriately.</li></ul><div>
Qualifications &amp; Requirements: 
Education &amp; Experience:<ul><li>
Associate degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or related discipline is required.</li><li>
Must have a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in purchasing or planning</li></ul>
Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>
Excellent problem-solving skills</li><li>
Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills</li><li>
Must be very organized, detail-oriented and have the capacity to work on multiple issues simultaneously</li><li>
Self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize tasks and priorities in accordance with company needs</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office</li><li>
Wilcox is a U.S. government defense contractor, and this position is responsible to control access to export-controlled technology. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access U.S. government-controlled technology prior to beginning work.</li></ul>
Preferred Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>
APICS / NAPM Certification</li><li>
Familiarity with SAP B1 software</li><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or related discipline</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.</li><li>
Repeating motions that include wrists, hands, and fingers.</li><li>
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.</li></ul></div>
