NYC law firm is seeking an attorney with at least three years of experience in family-based immigration and removal defense.Duties:<ul><li>Represent clients in Immigration Court, USCIS, and the BIA.</li><li>Represent clients in family-based immigrant visa petitions.</li><li>Prepare and prosecute affirmative and defensive asylum matters.</li><li>Manage a caseload of removal defense cases</li><li>Prepare and litigate applications for relief from removal, including Cancellation of Removal, Adjustment of Status, Asylum, Withholding of Removal, Convention Against Torture (CAT), and other waivers.</li><li>Prepare motions and appeals for removal hearings and USCIS.</li><li>Work with clients to prepare affidavits for applications for asylum, U visas, VAWA, and waivers of inadmissibility (USCIS Forms I-212, I-601, and I-601A).</li><li>Perform legal research and submit briefs before the Immigration Courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), and USCIS.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and must be admitted and in good standing in the relevant jurisdiction.</li><li>Must be fluent in Spanish</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.</li><li>Experience writing affidavits for immigration waivers.</li><li>Ability to handle a fast-paced and demanding calendar</li><li>Strong litigation skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously</li></ul>Benefits:<ul><li>Competitive salary</li><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid Time Off</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>New York, NY 10001 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>New York, NY 10001: Relocate before starting work (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
