Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist plays a critical role in supporting various HR initiatives, programs, and policies to foster a positive work environment, drive employee engagement, and achieve organizational goals. The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting various human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, file and data maintenance, employee relations, compliance, and payroll. This position serves as a resource for employees and management, ensuring adherence to HR programs and policies, employment laws, and ethical regulations.
Responsibilities &amp; Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Talent Acquisition<ul><li>
Create and post job openings on various platforms, including job boards, company websites, and social media.</li><li>
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify key qualifications and skills for their posted positions.</li><li>
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and preferences.</li><li>
Facilitate communication and collaboration between HR and hiring teams.</li><li>
Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.</li><li>
Conduct initial phone screens or interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.</li><li>
Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed.</li><li>
Track open requisitions with a weekly and monthly overview report.</li><li>
Provide timely and constructive feedback to candidates and recruiting agencies following interviews.</li><li>
Stay informed about changes in employment laws that may impact the recruitment process.</li><li>
Initiate and facilitate welcome communication to new hires, providing essential details about their first day, orientation, and initial expectations.</li><li>
Ensure completion of all necessary onboarding paperwork, including tax forms, employment contracts, policies, procedures, I-9, and any other required documents.</li><li>
Complete new hire orientations, onboarding sessions, and training programs to ensure a smooth transition and integration into the organization.</li><li>
Manage onboarding checklist completion for all new hires.</li><li>
Manage the background check process, evaluate results, and determine eligibility based on defined criteria.</li><li>
Activate and distribute employee badges.</li><li>
Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend improvements to enhance the employee experience and reduce turnover.</li><li>
Ensure offboarding processes are completed including final payments according to multi-state laws.</li></ul></li></ul>
<ul><li>Company Programs and Policies<ul><li>
Manage the Employee Vision, RX, and Reimbursement Program.</li><li>
Manage the employee-free products program and assist with any employee questions or issues relating to it.</li><li>
Develop, update, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and best practices to promote consistency, fairness, and legal compliance across the organization.</li><li>
Keep employee handbook and company policies updated.</li></ul></li></ul>
<ul><li>File/Data Maintenance and Compliance</li></ul><ul><li>
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files in compliance with confidentiality policies and legal requirements.</li><li>
Work with the Technology Services team to ensure all employee email lists are always up to date with new hires and terminations.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.</li><li>
Stay informed of changes in employment laws and regulations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Employee Relations and Engagement<ul><li>
Plan and execute employee engagement activities, events, and surveys.</li><li>
Promote wellness programs and initiatives for employees.</li><li>
Complete research on any HR-related topic</li><li>
Support employees by answering questions and assisting with day-to-day situations.</li><li>
Assist with any projects the department may have ongoing at any moment.</li></ul></li></ul>
<ul><li>HRIS/Payroll<ul><li>
Process bi-weekly multi-state payroll.</li><li>
Keep up to date with all industry, state, and company payroll updates or changes.
</li><li>HRIS data entry using Paycom HRIS personnel action forms (PAFs)</li></ul></li></ul>
Required Skills/Abilities:
<ul><li>Comprehensive understanding of HR functions, policies, and best practices</li><li>
Understands regulatory compliance needs and has comprehensive knowledge of the company.</li><li>
Familiarity with HR best practices and industry trends</li><li>
Excellent verbal and written communication</li><li>
Detail-oriented, adaptable, able to pivot, and able to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>
Good interpersonal and decision-making skills</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Ability to manage and resolve employee relations issues effectively.</li><li>
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs.</li><li>
Ability to research.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications:<ul><li>
2-4 years of Human Resources experience
</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field</li></ul>
Physical Requirements:<ul><li>
Lift up to 30 pounds.</li></ul>
