Ltd. is looking for a Procurement Officer for it's Global Procurement Team in Mumbai.</div><div></div><div><br>
Procurement Officer is to work with colleagues, customers and suppliers to improve total cost performance and quality in supporting the GPS Strategy.<br>
Foster close collaborative interpersonal relationships with colleagues and build the credibility of the function. Continuously improve service quality and productivity levels. Proactively share best practices across GPS teams.<br>
Secure periodic performance feedback from procurement teams, vessels, Technical / Vessel Managers and Regional Procurement Manager / Head of GPS to ensure that any deficiencies are identified and rectified.</div><div></div><div><br>

Main Responsibilities</div><div>
Leadership.</div><ul><li>
Mentor team members to ensure the best possible service in accordance with the SLA.</li><li>
Coach and train new staff equip them with knowledge that is required to conduct their day to day activities.</li><li>
Actively engage, contribute and support existing team initiatives supporting the GPS Strategy.</li></ul><div><br>

Operational Performance &amp; KPI's.</div><ul><li>
Ensure that all requisitions, quotes, purchase orders and invoices are processed in accordance with SLA provisions for GPS.</li><li>
Follow up and co-ordinate with all stakeholders to ensure that goods and services are provided as required.</li><li>
Comply with the 5 R's (Right product, Right quantity, Right place, Right time and Right price.)</li><li>
Ensure that clear audit trails and records are available to justify and back up all procurement decisions.</li><li>
Maintain BASSnet data to ensure that accurate KPI's can be produced.</li></ul><div><br>

Supply Chain Management / Logistics.</div><ul><li>
Ensure goods and services are delivered according to the vessel schedules.</li><li>
Report any deviations and take action to re-route goods / services, if necessary, whilst minimizing any cost impact.</li><li>
Clear understanding of Incoterms.</li><li>
Look for supply chain efficiencies and opportunities to consolidate cargo to reduce costs.</li></ul><div><br>

Procurement Strategy.</div><ul><li>
Support GPS Strategy.</li></ul><div><br>

Project Management.</div><ul><li>
Work with colleagues, customers and suppliers to improve total cost performance and quality.</li><li>
Identify opportunities to optimize processes and procedures and present to senior managers for approval.</li><li>
Support sourcing projects.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Sourcing and Pricing.</div><ul><li>
Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure availability of items and ensure smooth operation onboard the vessel / rigs.</li><li>
Evaluate offers in accordance with GPS procurement procedures taking account of the urgency of the requirements, whilst always ensuring that WSM's standards of governance and audit trails are always maintained.</li></ul><div><br>
E-sourcing.</div><ul><li>
Identify opportunities for e-sourcing and forward to Procurement Manager.</li></ul><div><br>
Supplier Relationship Management.</div><ul><li>
Develop and share knowledge of WSM's global supplier base, establish relationships and maintain contacts with key suppliers worldwide.</li></ul><div><br>
Negotiation.</div><ul><li>
Develop lowest landed cost mindset.</li><li>
Constantly refine negotiation skills with emphasis on achieving a 'win -win' for both parties.</li><li>
Continuously challenge suppliers on their existing prices to generate tangible savings.</li><li>
Constantly challenge prices within the Procurement Teams and ensure that offers are based on the lowest landed cost.</li><li>
Identify possible areas for improvement to reduce cost (e.g. payment terms, incoterms, delivery cost etc.)</li></ul><div><br>

Contract Management.</div><ul><li>
Ensure compliance with GPS frame agreements, where applicable.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Responsible Procurement.</div><ul><li>
When possible, ensure vendors comply with the standards set out in IMPA ACT</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Financial Analysis.</div><ul><li>
Ensure that all new vendors provide financial data and that this is reviewed prior to opening an account.</li><li>
Highlight any vendors who may be in financial difficulty to senior management.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Risk Management.</div><ul><li>
Take steps to avoid delivery delays and monitor deliveries from vendors closely.</li><li>
Prioritize and take special measures to avoid off hire of vessels.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Data Analysis.</div><ul><li>
Review vendor delivery performance monthly, identify and address any concerns.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Procurement Systems.</div><ul><li>
Purchasing System expert user (Bassnet, Salesforce, MYMPS, Procurement GIMS Guidelines.)</li><li>
Shipserv, ShipServ Pages &amp; Reports, Ariba - Sourcing &amp; CM, DOCMap.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Industry Knowledge.</div><ul><li>
Detailed awareness of marine industry and key drivers that effect the business.</li><li>
Excellent working knowledge of marine suppliers, their markets and their competitors.</li><li>
Good working knowledge of technical / functional specifications.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Process Improvement (Kaizen Process Improvement - Process Waste Reduction Ideas.)</div><ul><li>
Proactively suggest ways to improve service offered.</li><li>
Identify inefficiencies in processes and suggest improvements.</li></ul><div><br>
<br>
Accountabilities<br>
Performance will be measure against:</div><ul><li>
Team Key Performance Index (KPI) results for his vessels.</li><li>
Effectiveness to assist in informing and promoting cooperation to achieve all Operational Deliverables of his/her Team and ensuring team is fully aware of target performance of his/her team.</li><li>
Cultivate the right mindset within the team to ensure a Strong Sense of Responsibility, Accountability, Urgency, and Dedication to deliverables.</li><li>
Customers' satisfaction measured against surveys and direct stakeholder feedback +added targets set in the AOP.</li><li>
Work process efficiency as targeted in the AOP and according to performance measures defined in management system (GIMS.)</li><li>
Responsible in monitoring and delivering the Overall Performance to meet Stakeholder Expectations (validated by KPI results of his/her vessels and Performance Survey).</li></ul><div></div><div>
Qualifications</div><ul><li>
3 &ndash; 5 years Maritime Purchasing Experience from the maritime industry with significant procurement / logistics exposure.</li><li>
Or Degree / Diploma / FE Qualification / CIPS.</li><li>
Result Oriented, Sense of Initiative, Assertive, Solution Driven, Process Improvement Mind-set.</li><li>
Customer focused and excellent command of English.</li><li>
Strong Stakeholder Management.</li><li>
High Level of Drive and Determination.</li><li>
