Software Engineer &mdash; Job DescriptionAbout the role:Build, test, and maintain scalable software systems that deliver product features, reliability, and performance.Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Design &amp; development: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code; participate in architecture and design reviews.</li><li>Feature delivery: Implement product features from requirements through deployment, including API design and integration.</li><li>Testing &amp; quality: Author unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; participate in code reviews and QA processes.</li><li>Debugging &amp; performance: Troubleshoot, profile, and optimize system performance and reliability.</li><li>CI/CD &amp; deployment: Contribute to automated build, test, and deployment pipelines; ensure reliable releases.</li><li>Collaboration: Work with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to clarify requirements and deliver on milestones.</li><li>Documentation: Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and API docs.</li><li>Technical debt &amp; refactoring: Identify and address technical debt; improve codebase maintainability.</li><li>Security &amp; compliance: Follow secure coding practices and help remediate vulnerabilities.</li><li>Mentorship: Share knowledge, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to team skill growth.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience: 2+ years for mid-level; senior roles typically 5+ years. Experience level should match role scope.</li><li>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience preferred.</li><li>Languages &amp; frameworks: Proficiency in one or more languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust) and relevant frameworks.</li><li>Systems knowledge: Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, networking, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and REST/Graph QL APIs.</li><li>Tooling: Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) preferred.</li><li>Testing: Strong testing practices and experience with testing frameworks.</li><li>Soft skills: Problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership.</li><li>Optional specialties: Frontend (React/Angular/Vue), Backend (microservices, event-driven), DevOps/SRE, mobile (iOS/Android), ML/AI, or embedded systems depending on role.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: QAR85.88 - QAR105.89 per hourWork Location: In person
