Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Phlebotomy Technician Instructor to join our educational team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence future healthcare professionals through engaging instruction, curriculum development, and hands-on training.Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and deliver engaging classroom and clinical instruction on phlebotomy techniques, patient care, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.</li><li>Design and update curriculum materials utilizing learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms to enhance student learning experiences.</li><li>Supervise students during practical laboratory sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices in specimen collection.</li><li>Assess student performance through examinations, practical evaluations, and documentation review to ensure competency in phlebotomy procedures.</li><li>Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to support adult learners and students with diverse educational backgrounds.</li><li>Collaborate with clinical sites to coordinate hands-on training opportunities in hospital, outpatient, or veterinary settings involving critical care, pediatrics, or animal physiology.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments in compliance with accreditation standards.</li><li>Stay current with advancements in clinical research, laboratory techniques, public health protocols, and veterinary terminology to continuously improve instructional content.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in phlebotomy or related clinical laboratory roles with a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures.</li><li>Prior teaching experience at the higher education level or adult education programs is highly desirable.</li><li>Supervising experience in clinical or laboratory environments that involve laboratory experience, documentation review, or hospital settings.</li><li>Familiarity with learning technology platforms such as LMS (Learning Management System), Blackboard, or similar tools for curriculum delivery.</li><li>Knowledge of clinical trials, research methodologies, and public health principles relevant to healthcare training programs.</li><li>Strong communication skills with the ability to instruct diverse student populations effectively.</li><li>Ability to develop curriculum content that integrates veterinary terminology, animal physiology, nursing concepts, and acute care practices when applicable.</li><li>Experience working with students in classroom settings or clinical environments involving pediatric or critical care scenarios is a plus.
