 Job Summary
 
 
 
 Reporting directly to a Felony Prosecutor III, responsible for providing information and support to victims and witnesses of crimes that occur within the jurisdiction of the Williamson County District Attorney&rsquo;s Office, and to be a liaison between those individuals and the District Attorney&rsquo;s Office personnel.

 Compensation will be commensurate with experience. EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains knowledge of cases and case status
 </li>
 <li>
 Sends a victim letter detailing victim rights, the court process, restitution information and forms, and/or a victim impact statement (VIS)
 </li>
 <li>
 Assists victims in completing Crime Victim&rsquo;s Compensation (CVC) applications and VIS, as needed
 </li>
 <li>
 Advises victims of availability of counseling and other resources and services available through CVC and Texas Victim Information Notification Everyday (VINE)
 </li>
 <li>
 Serves as the District Attorney&rsquo;s point of contact for victims by answering questions and receiving and processing paperwork/documents, including Emergency Protective Orders
 </li>
 <li>
 Communicates frequently via telephone with victims following up on the status of their case and answers questions
 </li>
 <li>
 Meets with victims to discuss matters related to the case
 </li>
 <li>
 Documents actions by entering notes into case management system
 </li>
 <li>
 Schedules meetings between victims and prosecutors and maintains calendar related to those meetings
 </li>
 <li>
 Attends victim meetings with prosecutors and enters meeting notes into the case management system
 </li>
 <li>
 Accompanies the victim in trial and other court proceedings
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensures contact is made with victim regarding paid restitutions, validates address, and processes check request via the County Auditor&rsquo;s Office
 </li>
 <li>
 Processes returned mail from the victim by logging into the case management system
 </li>
 <li>
 Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
 </li>

 Notifies victims of Grand Jury results, as directed by prosecutor

 Provides VIS form to victim for indicted cases within 10 days

 Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree and three (3) years of experience in criminal justice, public administration or a related field; OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related technology

 Reporting directly to a Felony Prosecutor III (Chief), responsible for providing professional and legal administrative assistance and support to the Williamson County District Attorney's Office within the Trial Division or Special Victims Unit (SVU).* Application for this position requires submission of a cover letter and a resume.* Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
